Ninja/Dark build

Made a Ninja/Dark mm, and got him at 22 at the moment. I have recieved advice from a guy of same build, lvl 50, but i want to know others opinions aswell. He told me i should get the Stealth pool, though they arent included in this build yet, since its only for lvl 33. Please give response? I have almost no experience with MMs in the past.

Apart from getting some Endrecs into KIZ at 33, no problems here

Might want an extra Jump/End on SJ but that's it.

Seriously? by the way, the MM that told me most of this said that i should get stealth/invis.. but wouldnt grant invis be betetr than picking stealth? Thinking of ghosting with a few henchmen and such. And another thing. Im bad at slotting, but i was told that Leadership powers should be 6-slotted.. but how?

I don't think Maneuvers will make much difference for ninjas, there certainly shouldn't be a recharge in there.
Assault may give you more IMO.

For Tactics two EndRdx and two ToHits should be more than enough. Certainly no more than 3 ToHits.

Grant invisibility is quite nice and more use for a MM than stealth for sure, unfortunately it does not last that long.
And with a full set of minions you will find yourself spending a lot of time buffing them all.
I do have it on my ninjas/dark but I am considering dumping it...

Invisibility for a mm is useless, when invisibility is on, you will lose Supremacy for you pets( +10% acc + +25% damage).
Stealth and Superspeed works great in PvE, to bad the invis from superspeed only works in PvE not in PvP. Stealth dont breaks Supremacy tho

my Ninja/Poison mm(lvl 41 atm) has Stealth GrantInvis and superspeed + Hasten, it works very well its just awesome to set your pets up( on passive ) near the enemy when they all invis, and then just turn the them on Aggrressive when your done ( the superspeed and stealth also makes sure the enemys dont see you, so you can be very close to your pets/enemys and dont lose the supremacy )
and to save some end maybe only Grant Invis the 2 Jounins and the Oni, and bodygaurd mode for the 3 Genins

thats my 2 cents


and get Shadowfall as its a great power, with nice Resist + Defense + resist Fear, for Team and yourself


49 level 50's(CoH/V), cant be arsed to list em all :P

I got a lvl 41 ninjas/dark MM. The combo works very well in solo. Stealth pool is pretty much useless for a /dark imo, you cant use stealth or invis with shadow fall which is better than either of those two.
Stealth has a little amount of def when shadow fall has same amount of -perc, higher def and even res to neg nrg, nrg and psi.
As someone already said, invis breaks supremacy so it's not worth taking.

Now to the build.
Looks pretty much like my build but some points I'd like to say:
1: dont slot health, not worth it for a MM, rather trislot stamina.
2: Put some acc on fearsome stare when you can.
3: Drop maneuvers for assault, slot assault with 2 endrdx.
Also drop a tohitbuff in tactics for an endrdx.
4: Swap the slow from tar patch into rchg

I picked Maneuers and Combat Jumping because of this. Ive always been told, a hidden MM is a good MM, thats why i picked stealth for myself so i can stay in the background, but since im going to do some healing, then stealth would be wiser as Shadow Fall eats up end quickly.

They will help to some extent especially with the /dark debuffs.
And if your going for super jump then combat jumping is a handy thing to have but the defense it gives is very small.

Shadow Fall (when slotted with resists) gives 24% resistance to Energy/Neg Energy and Psionics to all in range.
It also is a group stealth and actually gives a larger boost to defense than Maneuvers.

The end cost isn't too bad when you get a couple of SO end-reds in there and I manage to run it all the time on my thugs/dark without stamina.

CJ + maneuvers gives a total of about 5-7% def. Not much, is it? Shadow fall alone gives more (AFAIK) and also gives group stealth and res to nrg/neg/psi/fear. Also, shadow fall and stealth drain about the same amount of endurance.

Conclusion: you will get more def and res with stealth for you and the minions if you run shadow fall instead of stealth.

Shadow Fall uses about twice the amount of End as Stealth.

[/ QUOTE ]It's 3,75% defence, and double the end cost of stealth.

Nevertheless, I'd never waste a power pick on stealth on a char that can take shadow fall.
