Wormhole and Dimension Shift
I slot 2 acc, 2 disorient, 2 recharge in wormhole. Replace recharge for more disorient or range if you find it's coming back faster than you use it.
DS firstly needs acc, of course, 2 should do. Slotting intangibility encs in phase powers actually increases the magnitude. I beleive with one intang duration it will phase bosses in one go, but dont quote me on it, i've not tried it. Rest i'd do recharge, though you shouldn't need it that often.

Wormhole is handy in that its more accurate than most AOE controls, it doesn't have the penalty that GDF or other AOE holds & disorientates have. I'd probably still 2 slot it with accuracy but the second accuracy isn't a priority.
I've found a range very handy since you don't need (and shouldn't be in) Line of Sight to set it off. The extra range gives me the ability to hide around a corner / in cover and fire it off without getting shot due to the 2 second gap the mobs get to react.
Would it be worth slotting three intangibility enhancements in DS or would that be overkill? What sort of magnitude would this produce, enough to phase an AV or a player in PvP?
Um, not sure what that would do, but i'm pretty sure it'd be overkill. I'd test it out, stick 3 slots in it to start with and try it with 3 intang against low lvl mobs if yo can find em. lvl difference shouldn't affect the mag. Would be hard to find a low lvl EB though, so maybe an even con EB after popping a few yellows. See what diff it makes and if it's pointless just make the encs 2 acc 1 intang.
EDIT: pretty sure it can phase players in pvp without intang slots. I *think* in that case the encs just increase how long it lasts...maybe.

Thanks Kitty. I'll head over to test when I get a chance to find out what it does.

You don't really need intangibility enhances, even for PvP, although it's not particularly accurate (and lasts only 10 secs in PvP). When I used it on my grav/sonic troller, I seem to remember that in PvE by NOT slotting accuracies, it would phase out minions, but leave ltnts / bosses unaffected. I never tried it on an AV since I prefered to use Sonic Cage (which does work btw) as it's single-target, higher mag, has better acc, faster rechg, and longer range. And tbh, I found that except for soloing, neither is a particularly great PvE power.

i leech on this thread to ask a question about the -slow component of grav power.
how strong is it? how much time does it wear? (usefull to slot my control in slow?)
is the slow as strong or stronger than the ice one? i mean it does not appear in grav power descriptions so...
Personally, I wouldn't slot Grav powers for slow in PvE. Unlike the Ice control powers, they only affect movement speed and not recharge. This said, the slow effect is quite significant: around 60% for the Grav immobs and holds compared to less than 40% for Block of Ice, Chilblain and Frostbite (Glacier is also around 60%, and Shiver and Arctic Air are over 80%). For PvP, some slows on the Grav immobs can be handy (you probably won't have slots for them on the holds).

While I don't know if this would work or not, I think (with the exception of the LRSF) it would be more useful if you achieved a magnitude that could intangiblisze (not a word) everything except for AVs, and maybe EBs.
That way you could eliminate the lackies from the fight and let everyone gang upon the AV for a while, using the power like a sieve.

That was my thinking too. I want to have enough magnitude without getting to the point that the AV themselves become intangible. The only way i'm going to find this out though is by doing some testing. It seems to be one of those powers that not many people have information on.
Checking up on the guides on the US forums, apparently with one Intangible SO Dimension Shift will snag bosses without Domination running. Whether or not with Domination up that will also grab EBs or AVs, I don't know.
I guess you could give it a try with one SO and if that proves too powerful, drop it to a DO...

If it grabs bosses as is, it will most probably do the same with EBs (or AVs without purple triangles) when Domination is up. If I remember correctly, (big IF since I dropped DS a long time ago on my troller), the enhances only affect the intangibility duration and not magnitude (unlike Domination).

I'm starting to think it could be a useful pvp power. With more than one Intang SO i'm wondering if it would break through a tank or scrappers mez protection and phase them. If it did, would it drop their toggles and allow me to go to town on them when they came out of phase?
good question
answer someone?
I honestly don't know if Intangible is one of those mezzes that drops toggles, or one which doesn't. I'm guessing it doesn't right now, but it's been some time since I played my FF Defender with Detention Field.
If you're coming to the all-dom team tonight Blind, we'll make sure to find a mob we can test it out on.

[/ QUOTE ]Intangibility enhancements do NOT affect duration, only mag.

[/ QUOTE ]It doesn't, the player/critter it's moved on can act freely, apart for not being able to affect others, just like in phase shift. (Of course, to move around they'll have to overcome the low-mag immob associated with intangibility powers.)
is wormhole as strong as tp foe? i mean is it hum.. usable in pvp?
I was using wormhole tonight and it was working on bosses so i guess it would work in pvp. I haven't tried it yet so I cant guarantee it.
It is definitely usable in PvP .

what can i hope to phase with a dimension shift slotted with 3 acc and 3 intengibility enhancement
in pve: lieutenant? boss? elite? GM ? AV?
in pVp: scrapp? force fielder? tank ?
Wormhole can be a bit tricky in PVP in my opinion, u have to be super quick when targeting/ placing exit. Unless u just double click it and hope for the best. I got mine slotted with 3 acc and 3 disorient. Can be hit or miss still tho

[/ QUOTE ]Anything in PvP with no intangibility enhancers.
In PvE, you can phase at least EB's (Without triangles) with no enhancers, not sure of AV's/triangled EB's. I don't think you can phase GM's, apart for maybe with several players stacking a phase power.
Does anyone have any advice on how they think Wormhole and Dimension shift should be slotted. I use DS as a panic button so it is vital that when I use it as many mobs as possible are phased. I want to use wormhole as a psuedo hold by combining it with my aoe immob so again it is important that it hits as many enemies as possible. I am happy to spend up to six slots on each of these powers.
Any tips from experienced Gravs?
