Thanks so much for leading this raid Sal. It was fantastic with a real community feel to it.. partially I suspect due to the smaller numbers.
The holding phase had me on the edge of my seat as we finally got there building up to having Hami held (far more fun as a troller than my previous raids as a scrapper 
)
When the mitos appeared at 10% I thought it was all over.. but somehow I (as others) survived and kept pouring it out to finish the job (while Mini called out Hamis HP's from the floor to encourage us).
All in all a great raid... and I hope to see more.

Well done sal for doing this was great and was extremly close but i think thats what made it good. well done too all the captins that helped especialy far seer for tanking hami for he did a great job and all the healers healing him also satanic flash for deciding to get closer too hami too make our pa drops more precise looked like it really helped mito teams and tank.

Did a bit of everything in this one - held Hami, used the rad buff before going back onto holding and the finish was so Holywood!
it was more like 1% when the holds slipped, mainly because I think the trollers/blasters started alternating damaging attacks and slowed down the hold spammage.
It worked and thats all that matters, woulda been a swine if hami lived with so little to go

This was an ace raid, and I'd like everyone to take note we started with only 28 players consisting of only 4 empaths, not one wipe. The fact that lag was minimal with there being so few, everyone could effectively use their powers. This had to be the best Hami Raid I've been on, and will be looking to do another

Funny moment tho'. Just thought to high heaven with it and hit every single high damage attacks i had, died, hit RoTP, and kept hitting til Hami fell. Good fun, and the first raid I've been on that succeeded
It was an absolutely EPIC battle. I thought we were se toasted when he spawned the Mitos ... but some people prevailed and took down the big bad blob!
Thanks to Salacious, the other organizers and everyone else who was there and made it a truely delightful and thrilling ... and last but not least _successful_ raid!
Also - Mother's Love was there with heals and Hami muffins - YAY!

Well I had logged Thyristor on last night simply to sort out a hami raid costume for the 22nd! Then the call for holders went out and I decamped to the Hive with indecent haste. After that it was simply a matter of getting into the bubble and setting tesla cage on auto. which left me plenty of time for screenshots, coffe and chat.
Now to gloat over the Hami-O

Through sheer luck (and thanks to Jessica Raven) I ended up in my first ever Hami raid and kept wondering why I had the feeling it was supposed to be hard, from some forum posts. It all went down nice and professional. I see it was because of good management and that is I can truly appreciate! Thanks guys for pulling this together. 
I just kept spamming attacks and the suddenly the jello vanished. Then there were shouts. And something yellow. I had time to wonder how there could be something yellow as Hami was down and concluded that this wasn't the dreaded yellow death. Then ZZZAP! Hah! A real killer ending, I should say. No worries tho I don't mind the debt even if I got my sixth and last debt badge two days back.

If you do anything like this again, I am fairly certain a lot of OV's controllers would come and help from word go if asked. I know very few go to public raids because when they have in the past, they've been extremely frustrating (although the one last Friday wasn't too bad to be fair).
Cheers for the invite at the end, I guess I'll leave Wyx and Buffem to fight it out over who gets the Dam/Range and see who wins.

Gratzs to all involved was another good hami raid and I got my 2nd hami O in just a few days after another good raid.
Hope we see more public raids and less of these private raids though. We saw on friday that this server can work well together. Dont want it to turn into only the most elite people who knows certain friends gets access to these raids.
I prefer the open raids that can be planned for everyone to take part in.

I think I enjoyed Friday's raid more. Even with Hamidon disappearing due to the amount of players. It was faster and seemed less chaotic with no one using caps over request or broadcast. The private raid was abit hit and miss and i'd genuinely thought we'd lost when the mitos spawned. I actually jumped out of Hamidon got my HO then landed back inside when i realised we'd won. I'll be there on Friday, hopefully Union has the experience now to take down Hami everytime. Btw I never got an invite

Hi all,
Wanted to give a run down on the Hami raid done on December 10th. I felt I should post this as this raid was rather special!
It came about with a discussion with myself (Salacious) and some of my friends, Far-seer, Spinester, Spines, Satanic Flash and others.
We were disilusioned with some of the recent raids and how some people never seemed to follow "the plan", often ruining the raid for others.
"We should arrange our own" I stupidly said, and the plan for the raid was launched!
I decided on a different stratagy, Assigning Captains to each job. Each team captain would relay commands from me to their team, and they would be in charge of inviting their archtype team themselves.
This was to be invite only, with help being called for, only if needed.
We followed the normal plan, but less people meant that this raid differed in that we relied on the powers of the people on the teams and the players ability to do the job well.
With main captains being Myself, Spinester, Far-seer, Satanic Flash, PLAZMO, and mini-nukette, we were able to clear the mitos really well, and dispite there being less than half the normal numbers, everything went smoothly.
Holds went belly up though, with it being fairly obvious that we didn't have enough holders to get the sucker! We had amazing backup with our buffers, and this gave us almost permenant hold recharge!
The call was made on global chanels and Union rallied, with holders pouring into the hive to help. Debuffs went down as Hamidon hit 50% and we launched a full assault with all Archtypes, again deviating from "the plan".
Then disaster! At 10%, holds slipped and mitos were spawned. But either due to luck, or massive rad debuffs, many damagers and holders survived and managed to rally forth and took Hamidons last 300 or so health, killing the Jelly and winning the day.
This was an Epic raid in many ways, and my heartfelt thanks goes out to many poeple. Other than the ones I have already mentioned, I would like to mention Shades (who revived me when i dropped like a brick into Mitos), Mothers love (for the great roleplaying and heals throughout), my entire team of PA droppers, Mark Stabler (for the hilarious "cup of tea, sir" and prompt death from Hami), Umbral, Cold Front, Genejack and many others.
I am sorry i cannot mention more, it was a real joy to see so many people doing the job they needed to do, and shows how good Union players can be when the right players are in the right place, on the right toons!
