I would question whether the majority of the people I see "trash talking" in PvP zones could correctly spell sufficient swear words to have anything looking like that with the swear filter on.
I have to say I'm always surprised by attitudes in PvP areas in games like CoH, Eve etc, I suppose less "twitch" based games. These are not my regular "genre" of game, and I expected what I would class as more RP based games to have a higher general standard of behaviour, but in fact I find it significantly lower in a lot of respects.
I now almost always turn all chat facilities off when going in to PvP zones.
Personally I'd like to throw some witticisms at the people I beat, but unfortunately they just misunderstand it 95% of the time..

As tempting as it is you often miss out. Its not always as bad as people make it out to be and its easy to ignore. I quite like reading abit of banter between the heros and villains. You also find a lot of the time the villains/heroes telling you where to go for a little organised fight/skirmish. Each to there own but I find it ever so boring without the reactions and compliments.

Yar well, PvP is all fun and games. Of course there is the ganking, and the insults and all that, but that is exactly what it is, PvP ... if your build is crappy, and you die alot, don't whine. If your build is crappy, and you die, but you stay and fight, then amen.
Fact is, most people just can't accept they got a good beating, and then wanna cry about it.
Even amongst thieves there is honour. I've been in Sirens where there was a couple of villians around, and only one tackled me, well, until a "new" stalker which didn't know it was a dual showed up and AS'd my sorry scrapper [censored].
I did tell him I will "see" him later on, and me and the dominator just took the fight somewhere else. Easy peasy
