Arachnos Flyer
Oh and bring Shivans and nukes if possible.
See you tomorrow morning
@kisana
Yes I was involved in this and although we made a valiant effort the flier took to the air and left us all felling rather...well can't say the word due to board censoring so use ur imaginations.
Count me in for tomorrow but Devs c'mon....does it really make any sense to have what basically (at least on Defiant) is an ultra-rare spawn fly off and leave unhappy players as opposed to it's sticking around, if not till defeated, at least for a reasonable amount of time?!
Oh that was tough luck folks, the day that I saw it there was only about 6 prople in Grandville. All a few of us managed to do was watch it dissappear. That was at about 1.20pm one friday.
I will try to crawl outta bed tomorrow for an hour.

Heroes got the spawn rates of GM's raised and FIXED. The least they could have done was fix the Flier for villains. WAI I think not.
count me in! that damn thing will be pieces of scrapmetal when im done with it.
@MidnightGuard - on Union you may know me as:
Mr. Vile - Electroman X - Zenodorus - Battler
Naga Knight - Stinkspitter
Yeah, the Flier buggering off like that was somewhat disappointing
Oh well, I'm up for another try tomorrow... got a Nuke and my Shivans, in case they're needed.
Thats just typical, it waited till i left to show up did it, oh well i'l be there tomorrow
I'll be there for another attempt at bringing it down.
Be aware that the Arachnos Fliers now appears to be completely immune to -Fly powers, giving us an extremely short window of opportunity before it will activate its force field and fly off.
@Nanas (on Defiant)
9am it is

Sooo, basically: as soon as it sets down to unload the troops, ignore said troops, nuke it and go for it?
Do multiple nukes (of the same kind) stack btw?

id have to disagree with this, i concentrated on using my -fly kick everytime it was available and definately saw results (got ganked twice for it ) however i think that its resistance to it has significantly increased but not a complete immunity to it.
With at least three full teams (24 villains) we should have no problems with it, providing everyones focusing on keeping it downed so the people with the uber DMG can do their thing
pre good luck to us all!
Already said i would be there this morning ;P but hey will say it again.. ill be there :P

My Plant/Thorn Dominator may be able to confuse and distract the Banes Spiders to prevent them from doing as much harm to us as they otherwise would do, but from our previous attempt I'd say that any summoned Shivans would probably go after them first and the Arachnos Flier second, thus distracting the Shivans from the Flier.
Maybe it would be a good idea if as many people as possible summoned a Shivan beneath the Flier immediately before it lands, juice up on purples and just focus on the Flier? The Shivans should be able to wipe out the Bane Spiders in seconds and then they would be free to concentrate on the Flier.

Don't know, but I remember someone on the US forums stating that it takes four Chemical Burn Warheads to completely floor the regen on the Heroes in the RSF.
@Nanas (on Defiant)
If I'm up I'll be there with Mystic Energy

I believe almost everyone was pelting the Flier with -Fly attacks non-stop, but I never saw anything but a slight downward jerk when it got hit. It looked to me like it never came anywhere close to the ground.
I couldn't even use Thorn Barrage on it since it was always out of range, and I was standing right beneath it.
In Issue 7 (on test, since I rarly saw it on live) Impale, Carrion Creepers and Thorntrops was enough to make the Flier hit the ground and stay there for a while, but none of my powers appeared to have any effect whatsoever on it now.
@Nanas (on Defiant)
As I said this morning, I'll be there
I'd be up for this merry little jaunt as well...
This thing needs to go down! Im there.
Wait... did you say 9am?

Sounds good to me. As long as my zombies can attack I'm there!
Btw, will tar patch be any good against it with the -fly aspect?
Not if it never touches the ground...
I'd like to be there, but frankly, the way things are looking right now, it's not too likely. It would mean that I either stay up for another 3 hours - and I'm getting just a tad sleepy, here, having been up since yesterday evening - or go to bed and then wake up in 2½ hour or so... -.-
Besides, I'm fairly confident that it will EVENTUALLY get fixed, at which point I'll hunt it down... don't wanna end up like those people who spent months chasing down the 'Gunner' badge when it was bugged, only to watch people get it in less than an hour after it got fixed.
Well I'm awake so should be there will prolly bring Energen, 45 Stalker, he is my badge toon :P

Yeah, I hear ya... and from what seems to be known about the Flyer, it looks unlikely that it'll spawn on two consecutive days at the same time, especially if there was no server reset.
But then, I'm at lvl44 and out of contacts, so I'd hang around in GV anyway, either doing newspaper missions or hunting on the streets. I might as well just do the latter for an hour on the off-chance that we'll get lucky
Yeah, you got that right.
It did not show up. And it's not like you can raise the army needed to take it down, any morning before even the birds bother to make a sound, on Defiant. And you can bet no GM will ever bother to spawn one for us either, because Defiant is as far away from the center of the CoX universe, you can get. ;-)
2 teams fought the Arachnos flyer in grandville today at 9am but couldn't get it down to more than half health. We're gonna try again for 9am GMT tomorrow (Sunday) and need more teams. Apply here or meet in Grandville before 9am tomorrow.
