My Em/Fire is awesome in Warburg Build up + Fiery embrace + ET takes 70% of a squishies health away then Total Focus finishes them off

I would take out temp protection as its probably the most useless power in the game so take hasten at lvl 10. You'll also want Super speed in Warburg so I would take it at lvl 30 and wait until the 40s for burn.

Barrage isnt great but there isnt alot else you can take taunt or ROTP, wish you could have a 5th power pool really I found the presence pool of great use (for the fear) but its up to you whether you want to swap it for tough.

Id personally get acrobatics before kick+tough.

I dont think you used herobuilders attack chain planner, i would if i were you and reduce the endurance of your build around the attack chain. Also id let temp protect wait to get acrobatics sooner.

I have a lot of experience with Fiery Aura but none with Energy Melee, so you can ditch 50% of what I say here hehe

Temperature Protection is useless. Respec it out. Also, for PvP purposes, Blazing Aura is not efficient: You'll be spending a lot of Endurance for just one target. When I fight Fire Tanks is RV BA leaves them vulnerable: usually with one End Drain from my Electric Armor their toggles are gone.

Get Acrobatics before the Fighting Pool, get Hasten way earlier, along with Barrage. If you respeced TP and Burn out, it will be possible.

Web Envelope is a good choice! Now for the other 2 powers slots you have left, I suggest Super Speed and Rise of the Phoenix.

The only advantage with SS is that u can get a travel power for 1 extra power assuming you are getting hasten. With TP u can get out of range for a heal within 1 sec (if u need to being dotted, or machine/flame gunned), with SS if you are not being slowed then you have to wait for suppression.

With TP you also can choose TP foe which is quite a valuable asset for PvP & pulling.

Having Super Speed would be very useful. Good movement is key to doing well in PvP.

Actually in my post, TP stands for Temperature Protection.

If this is a PvP build, I'm a bit surprised I don't see Stun - quick activation and coupled with Total Focus, people will hate you. really.

As for, will this build be end heavy - well, it is a brute, by definition any brute that isn't end heavy is overpowered

Barrage is so late I honestly can't see the point.

You call stun a quick activation? o.O Quite frankly its the only power in EM that sucks.

Actually I think Whirling Hands gets that title... (a matter of opinion though)
Too much end and too little damage.

hmm I think stun has at least as long animation and does no damage... plus total focus does better disorient

Posted

I've never tried stun so I guess I'm not too reliable
I always thought TF and Stun had the same degree and chance of stunning? Was I wrong about that?

Stun is a good power choice, if your fast with your attacks you can stun anyone with armor in some few secs.

That would be pretty impressive cause I couldn't stack disorient in cases where it was really needed.. And my blaster has power boost even.. And up to this point I thought I have done my fair share of PvP so I should have some knowledge.. Seriously Stun has too long animation to be able to be used in conjunction with total focus or anything else for that matter. Total focus by default does as strong disorient as stun, and in addition has a small chance for extra disorient. In order to do some miraculous disorient stacking only way is to get lucky with the energy punch and bonesmasher disorient chances imo. I dont even think thats possible and the few cases where I have stunned a regen scrapper was just getting the ~5% or so toggledrop chance to drop integration..

After the toggledrop changes I had big hopes about stun and tested it - and was disillusioned.

By the time Stun fires off, your target can be halfway down the map, sadly. I recently respecced Stun out of my EM/Fire build, as Energy Transfer and Total Focus do a much better job - ET is far quicker in activation, TF is a far better disorient.
