Sounds good, i get part of the name credit I would prefer it 50 but 40 is universally better in the long run probably.
I will try and put a team together to enter if i can, the force of EVIL with its hero counter part just may be there, confirmation at a later date.
the PD's are looking to get a team going for this aswell
If someones making a defiant team you can grab Captain Skyfire lvl 50 energy/energy/force blaster, @hammerfall.
If not enough interest I may try to make a coalition team for this but right now I cant be bothered.

Bleh I didnt read carefully enough, I thought you could put two scrappers into same team etc. Tbh I havent had much fun in pentads so far.
Indeed, I didn't read it properly at first either and was considering trying to get a 3 defenders/2 brutes combo
yeah, thats why i put max of 1 AT in it, with the restrictions listed in the OP. Never fought mixed pentads so reckoned it would be fun to try out, maybe find some interesting new combos. Already found out in 3vP that controller+dominator can be pretty nasty to fight against

I'll be there if you make it 50, I'm not respeccing downwards 'cos people can't be bothered to level. Likewise, if I enter a villain I will be 38+ and fighting at 50 and none too fussed.

i dont think thats why its at 40, i believe its at 40 because it makes matches a lot more fast paced and more fun as there are a lot more kills

aye its 40 because of imo pvp being fairer due to the lack of epics (as also said before, epics bring more to pvp than patrons). Also it has a faster pace and finally generally a bigger crowd that can participate. It has been shown on 3vP that lvl 40 matches can be great fun, even when you normally fight at 50. If you dont want to join at 50, well only thing I can say, dont join
Maybe if this time it turns out to be a good event a second edition will come with weightclasses.

OK, seeing as how so many people said this was a good idea and would want to take part, so many in fact that it was changed from Union only to both servers meaning a hell of a lot more work involved, how comes we only have one team actually signed up so far?
On a forum where there is an active thread calling for more PvP'ers, you do wonder why people bother when those who say "Yeah, great. Let's do it" then either don't sign up or sign up and don't actually turn up on the night.
Given that the Union sign up thread has had 100 views already, surely there should be more than one team signed up by now?

maybe because people have lives and its kinda hard to get a full team to commit to playing a tournament when they have no idea when it will be played
But the sign up thread makes it quite clear they need the correct number of team to sign up first THEN times/dates will be discussed that are suitable for all.
well we're trying to make 2 teams but its impossible as ppl dont wanna sign up to let the team down if they find out the fights will be on a day or time that they are unavailable, cud put down 2 teams, but the thread asks for exact team names
right, judging from the responses I reckon theres enough interest in such an event. Not sure what server everybody is but I take the reactions are mixed union/defiant rigt?
