A PvP Corruptor build?

Wanting to make a PvP character, got a Rad/Kin lvl 38 corruptor and whilst fun, just doesnt seem to do enough for PvP.
Just this second made an Ice/Ice one but is that overkill? /Ice seems nice as it has pbae stealth, -fly, and a hellalot of slows, but is it too much when stacked with Ice/?
Was also lookin at Ice/Kin, but leaning less toward that as I've done a /Kin to 38.
Or is there another powerset combo that is great orientated towards PvP?
Oh and btw, I guess Acrobatics and Combat Jumping are a must? And if I take Ice/Ice then Aid Self and Aid Other are a must also? Will make for a very very tight set if I need Stamina, Aid Self and Acrobatics.
Anyhow, comments please

Any combination of sonic/, ice/, /rad, /kin, /ice, or /dark will be awesome in pvp. Sonic/ and Ice/ have great secondary effects and dont require many powers from the primary so you have got space for acrobatics, stamina and hasten

I myself have an ice/kin and is really good even in sirens the stacked slows are nasty for melees, good hold for squishes and a good heal if you can get in the right position and to think theres transference and fulcrum to come 30+

P.S. Thermal really good but nothing more than a buff bot until 35+ when it gets 2 of the best debuffs in the game

I've looked at ice/ice and its very tight.Dropping all the shields and frostworks means you 'could' take tough and with Arctic Fog and Scirocco's shield you get this :
Lethal Resist 52.5%
Smashing Resist 52.5%
Cold Resist 23.6%
Energy Resist 56.1%
Fire Resist 23.6%

Seems rather silly for a Corr dosn't it

I'm a ice/rad cor which is a great build for 1v1 and support. If you get all 3 rad debuffs on a target you will seriously mess them up! Get them ASAP!

But i doubt youll need this. S/L dmg will be in melee mostly, and youre not going to stand in melee with a scrapper. get hover/fly and mace mastery, you can pin them down to the ground and start blasting...
anything ice/ rocks in pvp for the holds and damage.

My main PvP toon is an ice/ice and they're great. I had a thread HERE which discusses PvP Ice/Ice builds which may be useful. A little out of date now as i've tinkered with it a bit since then.

First off, Ice/Ice is a tough build to play in PvP compared to other corruptors. Kin, Dark, Rad, Thermal... They all have heals in them that make a big difference to your survivability which Ice doesn't. Overall, it's a good solo PvP zone build but does lack a little in the team build department compared to other sets.

Pro's

- Slows. These are ridiculous and you can bring any toon to a grinding halt when you start stacking them. I've been on the recieving end of ice/ice blasters and their slows have nothing on corruptors. SR scrappers will see you're ice/ice and think you can't slow them becuase of it's slow resistance... They're wrong as I can stack over that in seconds

- Debuffs. Not only the slow and -recharge's but there are also some nasty end crippling moves. Heat loss is quite possibly one of the best debuffs i've come across

- Holds - Bitter Freeze Ray sucks. Animation on it is way too long for it to be of regular use. Freeze Ray however is very useful and will be responsible for a lot of your kills. it's quick animation, quick recharge and cheap on end meaning you cna stack two quite easily to break squishy mez protection.

Con's

- End Cost. The major drawback of ice/ice in that you'll burn end so quickly on it. It can be rectified late on in the game with Heat Loss and Power Sink but until then you will be slotting heavy end reducs, sacrificing damage.

- No Heal. A real blow against it and i'm still trying to come up with a build I can fit aid self into.

Overall, you are going to be reasonably capable of causing most heroes a problem as long as you can stay alive so having someone with heals along is always nice. Blasters will be a problem for you as they can outpunch you by a huge amount but you do have one specialist area... Regens.

Spine/regens are a pain because of their range but every other type of regen you should be able to pull apart in a one on one. Drop snow storm on them, spam benumb, infrigidate, ice bolt and ice blast and they're helpless. They can't get in range to hit you thanks to the slows and you'll have crippled their self heals and regen rate.

I'd recomend just taking a brief look throught the Corruptor forum as I know there are several other good ice/ice threads on here.

I wouldn't even look at trying to get your DEF/RES up as even if you can max it on the build, it'll still only take a couple of shots to down you.

Would be even more silly if they got some sort of self heal

There's two more useful threads you may want to look at HERE and HERE

The second one is pretty much how my build ended up with stealth dropped for frostwork and I took Scirroco for his power sink, armour and hold.

Although the act. time is pretty long, i would suggest black scorpion (aka "youre not going to touch me mr. scrapper") for pvp. mace provides -fly -jump -spd -recharge, which is real great when you got hover/fly yourself.

Thanks guys will check out those threads now. Just wondering though about your comment on Bitter Freeze Ray, is it really that pants? Thought havign two holds would mean I could stack them madly to hold tankers? lol or is that wishful thinking?
One of the key things I wanted was 2 holds in the set, although with all the other debuffs I've realised it won't be a MAJOR loss, but would still like it.
How does it compare to the first hold for duration/magnitude wise? I see it does a touch more damage but them, what is the activation time on it? (I use Electron Haze a lot on my Rad/ lol and thats an insane activation time, can't be worse than that can it?)

I used to d PvP alot as my ice/ice blaster until i started PvE'ing alot. Dark/dark corr are the most annoying ever! fullstop :P. Slows are ok but the -acc stacks from dark are just pure evil i got slaughtered cause i couldent hit the bugger lol.

On bitter freeze ray, its ok the animation time isnt that long its just longer than freeze ray which; ok its not a good thing but having 2 holds is helpful incase ur freeze ray misses (misses alot for me so thats why i have 2 holds).

The animation on Bitter Freeze Ray is very long and for a squishy in a PvP zone, you're just signing your death warrant with it. The basic hold can stack enough to break through toons only having acrobatics for protection and anyone having stronger protection than that, one long animation hold extra isn't going to make much of a difference

I would also recomend Scirroco, despite Syn's comments. Power Sink and Heat Loss barely patch over the huge cracks in the end problems on Ice/Ice and trying to do without one or the other will see you dropping end a lot, unless you leave the zone every five minutes for blues. If your end drops, your travel powers drop and you're once more dead meat.

As for stopping scrappers with the mace attack, snow storm is an enemy toggle and does that for you. The only ones it doesn't slow are SJ'ers and the minute they leap, you just zip sideways with SS and will rarely get hit.

The only other alternative is to drop a lot of damage slots to fit in end reducs as it's such a tight build.
