if you remain in the dark, yes it's fine amounst the people i RP with (some of the GG crew, must get round to contacting some of the Defaint lot) jsut don't try to put them both in the same story, unless your really good, it's jsut a head ache.

Nothing wrong with alts. And Z, is the alt mastah!
My altisis is mainly provoked by coming up with a new character and then thinking the fatal words "I wonder what it would be like to RP this..." I RP mostly all my alts, it's nice to have a change every now and then and try something new.
As for putting them in the same story, yes that is a headache although all of my alts are connected in some way.

One thing to remember is that alt's aren't necessarily as nice as the main.
Weasel would always help someone out, but Mr. Normal REALLY shouldn't be trusted 
The answer is - it really depends on you.
Z is the current queen of alts, no-one's entirely sure how many she has any more (I lost track somewhere around 50) and her record for simultaneous characters is 12, I think, although that was on IRC. 
Most people tend to keep their alts seperate though, switching between them as whim and plot dictate. Some people have a distinct main (and may or may not have occasional alts), some people spend time equally between different characters.
So, all in all, alt as often as you like, just remember to keep the personalities distinct.
they're different alright lol, i just wanted to have another char so i didn't get bored of Gau, when i do i just switch to an alt, i have often found if i don't i end up leaving games

what is the general opinion of the public of alts in rp? i assume most of you have at least one alt? but is it worth rping with him/her, i have one main atm and 2 other possible characters (one WS and one a dark/dark def) in the back of my mind, just wondering if it is worth rping or if i should just stick with Jack and not bother with an rp alt?
