Whirlwind or Repel? Fitness or not?

Hi guys,
I still have that respec from issue 7 for my main character, Blue Rush.
I'd like to know:

1) if you think I should respec out the Whirlwind from the superspeed pool, since I already have Repel from the Kinetics power set.

2) if you think that I'd need to get the fitness pool now. I made it until lvl 30 with no problems and I have fairly well enhanced Transference and Transfusion powers. Do you think I can go on like this for the last 20 levels, considering that I've opened the leadership pool, or do you think I should take fitness anyway?

Thanks for any answer, cheers

Personally I'd say drop them both so you then only need to pick up 2 powers then it's only one more choice for Stamina. When I dropped Stamina from my Kin build (With Assault, maneouvres, Stealth, Sprint, sometimes oppressive gloom and the Dark shield who's name I forget from dark Epic pool usually running all the time) the things I actually found I missed more were Hurdle and Swift rather than Stamina itself. I slotted Sprint for jump instead and it's not so bad, but I do miss Hurdle. With an SO it's high enough to reach most platforms without resorting to finding the stairs or using fly/IR.

You can manage without stamina if you have transference suitably slotted, you just have to be slightly more aware of your end bar. I have my bars above my head so you don't need to be watching the corner of the screen constantly.

Actually, with Inertial Reduction it's like having superleap all the time, so I don't think I need hurdle. So what concerns me is if I should take health and stamina or not. If I get rid of both whirwind and repel, though, I would get rid of the powers which are actually making me consider the chance of taking stamina!

Any other opinions?

thanks!

I don't like repel very much, because I haven't mastered it yet. In my opinion you could drop it and whirlwind and superspeed in favour of siphon speed. As you have inertial reduction allready as a travel power. I would take 3-slotted swift it's very good to always have a nice pace.
You might wanne try it out on test, with and without stamina, see what suits you best.

Keep superspeed, you may need to get away in a hurry & siphon speed misses....superspeed doesn't. I went to L50 without stamina, wasn't always easy but I managed, have just respecced it in though, cos have gone for a much more aggressive build & I like the security blankie feel that stamina gives me :=). Up to you at the end of the day.

Depends how you want to play, Whirlwind isn't as good as repel because you are rooted. Repel is just an aggro magnet in PvE. It also stops you from using transferance and transfusion to heal your self. Siphon speed is good because it debuffs the enemy. I have SJ and Siphon Speed and Inertial Reduction lol. Inertial Reduction is useful if you get held and want less downtime between BF and getting away. There is also no suppression on it or Siphon Speed.
SJ is good because you don't have to keep stopping to use it.

I actually think repel in the right hands (ie MINE!!!111!!) is a truly awesome defensive power and by far (due to chance to detoggle). Dont use it near a comfortable tanks herded mob!

Been a while since i used it. Its not as good because you can't use powers at the same time as its active.

Um, yes you can....

I've been on test and yes you can. Altho it does stop spinning so that the attack animation will be carried out.
Whirlwind uses more endurance according to CoH/CoV Character Builder. Which seems to be the only reason why it is worse than Repel.

Whirlwind IS indeed very end heavy. I tried that power for 5 lvl's with 3 end reds in it and you could say bye bye to your end. Tbh..I would take neither for a kin.

Thanks to all! In the end I respec'd out both repel and whirlwind for the moment, and still aim not to slot stamina if I can... I'll see how it goes with slotted endurance red. on leadership powers and well slotted transference.

Respec repel back in, fantastic power and not end heavy in the slightest when you use it right. That's my advice!

You mean its not end heavy when you don't use it to repel anything.

Repel is only good if you want to play a game of "Repellion" in Galaxy City... Or troll bowling in The Hollows.

Otherwise - Repel is a bit too situational, it's great for continually knocking a boss/EB/AV into a corner, and reasonable in PvP for the small detoggling chance... If you wedge people into a corner, but it's far too situational. Beware the end drain too, Repel is also quite counter productive, moving everything away from you that you require to buff yourself with. Again, can be gotten around by the handy useage of scenery, but I stand by my side saying, it's far too situational!

Just what I thought, and I left it because I found I barely used it anyhow...
