Teleport Foe?
IIRC Starless Step has a slightly better range (and looks waaaay cooler ), but that´s it.
I guess the main reason for Warshades having Starless Step is because they have Teleportation powers and are thus locked out of the Teleport pool. Depending on your anti-void tactics it can be quite useful: teleport void to your position => Gravity Well => kill.
If it has eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.
I use that, but you have to be very careful with it. If the hold misses, or is just not quite in fast enough, the void can sometimes get a shot in. Which will ruin your day if it stuns/knockdowns you.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

You're telling me. I remade my WS yesterday. At level 4 she got a mission with a +1 void in it.
Bang...knockdown...get up agonisingly slowly
Bang...knockdown...get up agonisingly slowly
Bang...dead.
After that happened twice with me having no useful defence or any way to hit back I decided to do some street hunting for a while.
After I've gained a couple of levels I'll go back and teach that smug git a lesson. But what a pain to meet a void at level 4
Ouch, and believe me, it doesnt get easier for us. I've faced a +2 Quantum Paragon Protector.......who then MoG'd.
Also on that Croata mish "Protect the Henge" one of the amushes brought company.........a nice Cyst, landing at the bottom of the hill and wiping the whole team of 8.
A void at level four is very evil indeed.
I don't use the Starless Step > Gravity Well for my voids anymore. Instead I cloak+SS to get in close, line up the group and hit them with Gravitic Emanation. I've slotted it for disorient duration, which means I can then usually go in and mire, pop into Nova and sit there untouched and blast away.
Crystals still make me cry though.
Heh ho folks...
Can anyone tell me if there is any difference between teleport foe pool power and the Warshade clone (um... Starless something or other?)
Seems a bit off that a tier 1 pool power should be effective as a primary set, but can someone enlighten me?
