Which one to pick?

Hi all I have so far got my fire/invuln brute to 36 and I'm enjoying the theme but not the end problems. Anyway, what I posted this thread here for is to ask which stalker pwoer sets are best for me. I want to mostly be in PvE but I will dorp into PvP with it too. I want a stand and fight build as i personally think running by and hitting is jsut cheap and silly. So what do you guys think, I have made an nrg/regen stalker and got him to about lvl 10 so far should I jsut stick with him or pick another set of powers, if so which ones.

if you want a stalker powerset that can stand and fight i'd roll another Brute coz you've rolled the wrong AT for that lol
Stalkers don't have the HP or Defence to do it for long periods.
nothing wrong with nrg/regen for both pve and pvp tho but i'd probably get tough from the fighting pool for more damage mitagation and pretty much take all the secondry powers sept for mog and revive.

For PvE Regeneration sounds pretty good. Also, Dark armour has some nice ways to 'scrap' it out with your enemies (fairly end heavy tho).

Ninja blade for stalker scrapping thanks to divine avalanche. You won't get any heavy hitters (excluding AS) untill lvl 26 but those attacks a worth the wait .

Go claw/EA if you want to avoid endurance problems. Cheap attacks (end wise) and 2 end modification powers in your secondary. Should be pretty fun in PvP to.

A En/Regen should work for both PvE and PvP to tho. Just remember that your attacks a fairly end heavy and with regen (without dull pain or MoG on) you are fairly vunerable to burst damage.

Thank you for the explanation there chillblaze. and chelsea I know that most stalker powersets involve hitting and running, but I don't want to hit and run (especially not in pvp) because it's just cheap. I think I'll stick with my nrg/regen I'll post my build later on.

yep because it is true .. the only way a stalker can go toe to toe with say a scrapper is with the lvl 38 power or divine avalanche as standard defence powers are not high enough.

my lvl 30 spines/rgn does very fine in scrapper vs stalker duels...its very hard to win against other regens but invul/da/sr are still beatable 1v1 with regen..

how is hitting and running cheap?? its called a tactics, stalkers are best at being sneaky and using A/S and placate. I can go toe to toe being ninja / regen but i also know when to be clever when coming up against a tank or a regen/sr scrapper.

You calling being sneaky cheap is rude if im being honest. everyone has different ways of playing and just cos you dont agree with the hit n run way doesnt mean you can have a go at it

EA has a high def base, around 16.5% add 3 SO's = 25.74% Def

then hide gives it another 1.8%

Combat Jumping with 1 SO in gives it another 3%

Thats 30.54% in total, not to shabby Really in PvE. Nearly up there with an Ice Tank without Energy Absorption lol.

Add in a few team buffs and your away lol

I find my dark/dark really enjoyable. You donĀ“t have to run away when your enemies are cowering in fear (waiting for the next AS) and you can fully heal yourself with Dark Regeneration. Eats quite some blue candies, though...
