Regen is basically over stacked with heals and can't lose enough health to make use of them all, so caps. I would say that they could both do the job equally well, but the Tank has more capacity for external assistance.
I made it up of 20 * 5 minute fights to push the duration up as far as my app will go.
Also noticed yet more bugs in the Export tool as well. 
You need to take out Healing Aura from that equation. You can't really get close enough to the tank/scrapper to fire it without dying.
Don't forget that Hamidon hits a lot harder than an AV as well, although I'm not sure if you can simulate that.
If still needed, i'll happily put forward Sulphur to use 
Got his heal 6 slotted - 3 Rech, 3 Heal + Hasten and any speed buffs I may recieve.

I've taunted hamidon his ranged attacks are alot harder than an av's ranged attacks but there is no one hitter. I think a scrapper is killed within 3 without heals thats less than 3 but more than 2 basically, a regen can think "omg everyone used their heal at the same time, i'll use my back up's" and with a stone he could be "everyone has used their heal at the sametime i am not +hp yet, my heal hasnt recharged" then more incoming damage happens and just as everyones heals are recharged he faceplants. The tanks lack of survivability less than a regens in a union hamidon i am willing to say could from empaths "healing at the sametime, not using absorb pain for extra heal under a regen aura blanket (which could be nice seeing as heal other is of long recharge against hamidon and compared to heal aura), not using buffs like adrenalin boosts to boost recharges and instead be afk with an auto clicked healother of which isnt even specified to maximum heal per second ie 3 recharge 3 heal. So despite seeing more survivability from a regen and dr rock's welcome maths i can see how and why a tanker should and could be good not to mention i've said what goes on in the healing team before. The faster adequate holds are applied the lower the dps of hamidon and its when you have the longer breaks between his attacks survivability really begins.

Nah, that's not strange, it's what Hamidon is all about: debt and waiting
And Shannon, if they haven't changed Hamidon since last raid, he hits for 935.04 point of untyped damage if you're level 50, wich is more than 2/3 of a scrapper's health (based on Dr. Rock number and without accolades I assume) while it's 1/2 of a tanker's HP (still without accolade and based on Dr. Rock's numbers) so if while dropping into Hami an Antibodies hits someone along with Hami (780 odd damage from the Mito IIRC) the Tanker will leave to heal himself and go on while the scrapper will have to rez or be rezd unless he has DP running.
But in this case (with DP) a Tanker will be able to take 3-4 hits before goin down while a scrapper only 2-3.
After the drop it won't matter if they're scrapper or tanker cause the healing blanket won't allow anyone to plant regardless of the AT unless they run around in the blob
Your right Jiaozy i spoke to Velvet Noir about it today (i needed to confirm because looks can be decieving) it takes just more than 1 hit and his attack rate is something like every 3 seconds at most and her additional survival comes from regen powers being perma because of haste and adrenalin boosts basically everything is always on hand she pretty much always has heals and superb regen. The always having a heal i find interesting.

Would A rad/rad defender be of any use there?
If so i'll glady join the raid... I'll try to reach 50 in due time, however it is almost sure that i'll need to be sked.

There's a full rad team in wich you're more than welcome because Accellerate Metabolism and Radiation Infection are really needed in a raid.

Guys, just a friendly request here. I created this thread for taunt team recruitment so I had one handy point of reference to enable me to put the team together.
It's now spanning several pages and there are only 8 sign ups out of the 40 posts here.
If you want to discuss where you think we have the wrong plan for Hamidon on Union and where the faults are, can you please start a seperate discussion thread.

Two scrappers and 6 tanks gives us a good balance and Dutch's group fly was very useful last time. Also gone with a mix of people who were in last taunt team(Dutch, Golem and Aegis) and new members.
If we get any no shows, I'll pick replacements on the night.
I do need a education in english dont i, even i have to imagine where the fullstops go etc.
