That is the question..........Cheesy i know

I tried it with my freespec as am yet to do the 2nd respec so i have a get out of jail free card. unfortunately i didnt get much time to mess with it as the SG was calling. I figured that putting follow on a pet and using my goto bind stopped me from losing my minions but didnt get to test the -ACC on high lvl mobs....so...
1) is it really worth taking
2) can sloting affect your minions keeping up?
3) does tactics negate the -ACC element?

so far the only use i got from it was taking a lvl 12 that had found his way to the tailor in St martial back to the ferry

edit: typos

seeing you're a bot MM, id say this:

1) yes
2) no
3) yes

I got it on my robo/poi MM and love it. Admittedly, I dont use it VERY often, but its great to position robots without relying on stairs (especially when those stairs are heavily guarded). Plus I cant think of PvPing without GF on my bots

"god, how many devs did hami have to sleep with to get ED?"

Not to group fly.

1)Nope you don't have the endurance for it
2)Yup
3)This is where i don't know the numbers offhand, but the -acc is a bit annoying.

I use Tactics (3x ToHit, 1x EndRd), Assault (1x EndRdx), Dispersion Bubble (2x EndRdx) and Group Fly (2x EndRdx) all simultaneously for aerial combat.

I can sustain the End Drain for the duration of a fight. I don't notice the -Acc at all (T1's are 3x Acc, T2's are 1x Acc, T3 is 2x Acc). If I did have Stamina, I would be able to sustain this attack mode indefinitely, but it is situational so its not worth it.

Very handy for getting all henches into firing range without being in melee on Orenbega maps.

Thanks guys i'll get on to give it a real rugged test out tomorrow, I guess it is very situational but i'll give it a chance

I certianly enjoy it but at the moment can only really run it and tactics without suffering from end drain. Really helped on my taking out Baliista-1 mission since I could fly my bots around the rig.

It is a nice power (and fun to use), but stopping every few seconds so my henchmen can keep up is annoying. The recent addition of bodyguard mode makes it more useful for flying through dangerous areas (PvP zones especially).

I used to have group fly on my necro/dark. It is a waste of endurance. You minions can't keep up and constantly fall behind. It is quicker to dismiss them and resummon at the destination than to constantly stop to let them catch up.

Pssst... the trick's to bang the rocks together guys...

Oops, wrong hint...

Target one of your pets.

Press 'F' to start following that pet.

Turn on Group Fly.

Use goto bind/command to send your pets to any point in 3D space, as you keep up with them, and keep them in GF Range.

Repeat until at destination.

Can be a tad slow, but at least you arrive at your destination with all your pets.

I don't have any endurance problems. It's purely a transport power for moving minions around, nothing more. It's slotted with a endurance cost SO which means it doesn't drain faster than my regen rate.

IIRC, pet movement-speeds have been increased in I7... if that affects flying-speed as well, it should make Group Fly a better option. I still wish thoe meatheads would learn to follow me close enough to stay inside the AoE of Group Fly and similar powers, though... would make that follow-goto trick unnecessary.

Incidentally, i don't suppose there's a way to tell your minions to head for a map-point? Having to constantly click in front of me to keep moving reminds me a bit too much of Teleport...
