Kinetics/Radiation, any advice?
This was a build to 45 that I posted on another thread. the toon is now lvl 50.
It works for me PvE very well and brings up Transference very often - useful in both Pve and PVP. I haven't slotted or chosen powers with the toon specifically for Pvp, but did go into the zone a few times and was pleasantly surprised at the toons ability.
For me, the most useful powers PvP were Repel, Transfusion, Transference, Siphon Speed, Siphon Power and tactics. All of these are easily fitted into most builds.
Repel - nice knockback for melle foes - keeps peeps from sneaking up from behind.
Transference - beautiful end drain - not much peeps can do without end
Transfusion - excellent melle heal and -regen - keep yourself healthy while going toe-to-toe.
Siphon Speed - slow them right down with multiple applications - also has a good pyschological effect - watch them try to run for it
Tactics - you know it makes sense for stalkers - also for the added accuracy for hit-based powers.
Siphon Power - weaken the foes and strengthen yourself - can't go wrong.
I'm not a dedicated PvPer and only venture into the zone when bored - but as I say - I've killed more PvP peeps than with any other toon with a build I designed for Pve
A couple of things - I got to 50 without any need for a travel power other than Inertial Reduction which served me well - very enjoyable to use.
I chose stamina for the toggles and becasue I attack frequently.
With the mobs slowed, drained and -regened fulcrum shift really makes your attacks viable in PvE and worth slotting well.
I found in PvP, Ko'ing was a slow process which meant continual debuffing during a prolonged fight
Later on in the build, I've added more recharge enhancements to siphon speed and range enhancements to cosmic burst and Defense Debuff in irradiate.

I also have a Kin/Rad Def (First to 50 on Defiant! ) and I'd recommend slotting Irradiate with Def-debuff. it's the strongest debuff in the game, and well slotted gives great results.
I picked Dark mastery and that also has an end drain attack so I dropped Stamina, and I can't say it's caused me too much bother at all.

What? Strongest debuff in rad blast? Maybe. In the game? Nope. I can think of quite a few better ones...

No experience with Rad Blast but I say no to Repel. Keep your enemies close my son for then shall you reap the rewards of Fulcrum Shift, Transference and Transfusion. So pbaoes work well with Kinetics too.
You don't really need Stamina imho. Its slightly riskier in that you have to go robbing End off mobs with Transference instead but it frees you up 3 slots which which to play with.

What Okton said about irradiate, no it isn't strongest defence debuff in game. Er Dark Consumption does not do endurance drain, it does damage and recovers endurance.Power sink on the other hand drains opponents endurance and recovers the users endurance,
What role would you like to play in PvP, would you like to be an offender? or play proper support?
Personally I'd choose the latter option from experience, defender damage is to low.

well i aint one to stand around, 1v1 i am pretty good imo :P but id say for general pvp, both supporting and being offensive
This is the build I would be looking to respec into for level 50 support PvP, aswell as being viable in duals by having the two highest damage attacks in the set, it is a buff bot build mainly specialised in team PvP. But you can definately get away with a few kills on it aswell.

By playing a kinetic in team PvP you have to be a buff bot, make sure each member of your team has speed boost and increase density permanently. By being a defender your often going to be chased by scrappers and blasters so you have to buff your team while moving, this is where inertial reduction helps as it is unsuppresed movement, which in my opinion makes it one of the best powers out of the kinetics set. once your team is all buffed you can then go on to proceed to siphon speed players, fulcrum shift and heal around targets and draining bubblers, and spiking targets with team mates with cosmic burst and total focus. The main priority is to keep the team buffed as it is the buffs which will win the match.
In duals the main tactics is endurance drain, spam transference and transference+power build up on your target and make sure that they have no endurance whatsoever, aswell as siphon speeding them so they move to a crawl, then mix a combination of siphon power and fulcrum shift to rapidly debuff their damage, and make them useless. With cosmic burst and total focus, you can stack stuns and burn a squishy of break frees. The choice of repel is that its a knockback power and so once your opponent is drained of endurance you can knock the target down to make time to hit total focus, or use your heal to heal yourself before they run out of melee range. Repel is a good protection in PvP. As a kinetic in duals you have to know your limits, you must realise that against anything with a defence buff (eluded scrappers, an opponent packing lucks) your done for. Along with anything with a significant tohit debuff your also done for, as you'll probably know that accuracy is the bain of kinetics.
Edit: Oh yeah in team PvP, kinetics has to be if not one of the busiest sets to play, you'll always be doing something and never standing around definately a set that needs fast response and reflexes.
