/Kinetics stamina question
With my Illusion/Kinetics controller I have stamina and I still find myself getting low on endurance in between Transference uses as I'm generally spamming powers non-stop. If Transference misses or my target dies I can end up bottoming out on endurance. It's possible that other controller types (who wouldn't be summoning 2 or 3 pets in a fight) or those you use their kinetics powers less would have less issues with just using Transference.

With a controller I'd say stamina is a necessity as your going to be spamming more powers from your primary and buffs from your secondary- not to mention as a controller you get transference way later, and with a pretty long recharge and chance to miss stamina is always a good safety blanket.
I can confirm with the above. It is possible to go by without stamina. It also depends on your primary and your powerpicks. When having an endheavy build and with toggles like acro, assault, tactics, hotfeet, epic shields, etc you still need stamina.
Because indeed if you miss transference or the target is just killed/knocked back after you fire it off you'll run dry very fast. (leaving any casted RA/SB/AB out of the equation)
I have three kin trollers, two of which have stamina and one not. I must say i have a very (pro)active playstyle. The one without stam is my mind/kin (had stam till i got transference well slotted at lvl 37 and then respecced the fitness pool out) and not so heavy on the toggles with just having cj+acro+fire shield. He can manage, although sometimes he has hard times keeping the blue bar filled. Hasten+siph speed gives super recharge, so end goes really fast.
The fire/kin and ill/kin i run with toggles like assault+tactics, hotfeet, acro, shields (and hasten too) so that gives an insane end usage. Without stamina i'd be popping cabs like a mad hatter even with having transference.
So yes, i'd be as bold to say you'd need stamina before transference and in many cases even keep it after that. It really helps.
I got a kinetics/sonics defender and I think it depends on your playstyle if you need stamina or not.
I tend to go in will holds (from sonics), fulcrum shift, then start spamming heals and transference (I do have hasten slotted 3xRecharge). I tend to play quite close to mobs so I'm usually in range for my own heals and transference, so very rarley get edurance problems
What Blue_Note said. I've kept Stamina with my /kin troller given that I run Hot Feet + Tactics + Epic shield and am spamming powers like there's no tomorrow (with Hasten too). At one point I did consider trying without it and taking Consume from the Fire Epic to make up for it, but that would mean I would spend a fair share of my clicks trying to recover endurance . And on my non-kin trollers, Stamina is there too.

I would go for stamina. The only reason Finet has enough stamina in fights is due to the recharge in transference.
I have to admit that when I got my imps until I got my epic set that I didn't need it, especially when soloing.
Once I got my epic, to make my toon as fast and as destructuve as possible I took the fire set and needed stamina.
I don't really use Finet in PvP but as a PvE player he has an awesome and destructive power that can only be maintained with a combimnation of stamina and transference
This is sort of a follow up to the below question on /kin travel pwrs.
Do /kin trollers need stamina?
Does Transference make up for it?
I haven't played a /kin (or a kin/) up to transference before.
I know you don't pick it up till 35ish but can you just slot end redux's in until then.
This would leave more power choices like combat jumping etc
Although hurdle and health are useful anyway.
what do you think?
