You have a Katana/Regen, what do you find yourself doing a lot, and what are you best at doing with him? 
Katana is the Damage+Speed, Broadsword is ++Damage, as it's slower to attack, but deals more damage-per-hit.
Katana does more damage than Claws, but is slightly slower in attacking.

Most of the time AoE'ing mobs, healing up, single targetting bosses.

Yep, you can double up parry effects until the cows come home.
Katana's a nicely balanced set, even if it's animations make me cringe at times.

Point! Always leave tanking to the pro's. Our (scrappers') job is to "pacify" foes with extreme prejudice (and, on occasion, a 4ft razorblade).
Well, if your secondary is enough to easily keep you alive it's unnecessary to spam Divine Avalanche. It's extremely nice for those situations where you might otherwise faceplant, though. Scrappers are allowed to use common sense..
SD-DA-GD-DA chain is still pretty good damage.

In terms of PvP I find katana much more deadly than my ma scrapper purely because of the very quick activation time on the 9th tier attack. If you compare Golden Dragonflys activation time is a second less than Eagles Claw, and about 0.9 seconds quicker than Headsplitter and in terms of DPS I would think its very close to BS, just my observation its probably wrong though

Your katana scrapper probably has quickness to hasten your set whilst your MA is a regen. If you have slotted similarly in both scrappers i can see how you get that. I thought in terms of DPS golden dragonfly was greater than headsplitter.

I suppose my kat/reg can still easily take mobs/much higher lvl enemies.
