My Claws/Regen Build

Hi,

Here's my claws regen build. Currently I am level 10. Anyone got any opinions on this build or some advice? I feel its a little lacking in the attacking powers but does the powers I have got compensate cos they are fast recharge and good damage powers?

Also, am I going over the top with defence? hehe

Claws wise, consider getting Slash - in I7 it's a very nice power. Shockwave is also great as a damage mitigator.

Regen-wise, most things look ok but recharges in Integration? It's a toggle, so you should only ever need to turn it on when you log in and leave it running forever. Slot 3xHeal and 1xEndRed if you feel you are short on end. The same goes for Focussed Accuracy, slot it 3xToHit, 2-3xEndRed.

MoG's damage resistance caps with one SO, it's best to slot it 1xDamRes, 2-3xDefBuff, 3-2xRecharge.

It might be worth sticking an EndRed into Tough and Weave, you can take the slots out of Revive (which doesn't really need slotting).

Id take out Taunt and go for laser beam eyes, you can still pick people pout plus you will have the added bonus of making damage, other than that the build looks fine.

Hiya, I've just recently started on my Claws/regen scrapper, so thanks for posting this build, it gives me a better idea towards slotting, etc.
I'm planning on going for a more PVP orientated build. Would anyone reccommend any changes to the above build for PVP?

why 3xrecharge in focussed acc? its a toggle and it comes back quite quick on its own.
I would put those slots in attacks, with end redux enhancers

Didn't spot this before, but if this is a 1-50 build you'll definately want Focus much much earlier. Swap it with Resiliance and get it at 20.

i'd say do everything you can to get it at 18 when it unlocks. it has made such a difference to the game for me since unlocking it. it's second only to integration as an important power to me. good damage, reasonable recharge rate, knockdown, and fair range. it's marvellous

Thanks for the advice so far.

I'm planning on double-teaming with my bro who is going for a katana/regen build. With this in mind as both of us will be doing damage is it more important to have the damage resist or damage dealing?

Bro hasn't set his mind to katana/regen yet so slightly OT.. what would be best to go with claws/regen and my above build?

drop 2 slots from resiliance, 1 SO = 6.7% resistance, 3 SO = 8.8%, a very expensive way to get 2.1% resistance.

You mentioned that your Brother is likely taking Katana, both Katana and Broad sword have an excellent damage mitigation tool in Parry/DivineAvalanche. It's basically the same idea as Claws' Follow-up except that instead of a 20% damage buff it does about 12% defense buff (24% 3-slotted) and can be stacked with itself.

In terms of survivability the pair of you should be able to take pretty much anything together, if you encounter something very tough that can't be handled normally or is resistant to Knockdown (Air Superiority with one Recharge SO is your friend!!) then he could Divine-Avalanche tank it while you clean up the rest of the surrounding mob.

But that's going to be a very rare occurence. Given that a single regen scrapper can still solo anything up to and including 8-man purple spawns or Infernal as a +4 Elite Boss... There's very rarely anything that two /regen scrappers cannot handle.

it think the build is pretty good, very similar to my own claw/regen build, yes take focus at level 20 and resilence at 30, do u reali need weave? the defense buff is so small from it and as a regen you dont have any of defense moves for it to stack with so everythin is stil gona hit.

i like that u picked tough , due to with claws your will be fighting your foes a bit longer and therefore are required to take a bit more damage.

have you thought about dropping weave and stealth and going for another pool...presense pool for example get challenge (dnt slot it) then use those for slots you had on weave for intimidate?

the build will work well in pvp and pve i no coz its so similar to my own build
