Uh? The majority of the forumites are from Britain...simply because this is the European version. As in, if this was the American version you could say that the majority of the forumites were from California (or another state). It doesn't mean California is the whole of America, it's just stating who, what and why.

No, it wasn't me being arrogant or pompous - I was merely explaining in as few words as possible, that the guy I was responding to is very likely to meet an awful lot of British people on this game as these are the European servers. Just as you're quite likely to meet a lot of Canadians on the American servers.
If I'd said, "Most of us here wear green socks, this is the European version after all," I'd have meant you're more likely to meet green socks wearers here - not that the whole of Europe wears green socks. Still with me?

But don't you think it was slightly rude of you to criticise someone's misuse of English when you're as bad?
You could quite easily infer that you're not English, as most of your ancestors would not be, so it's a dodgy argument at best.

Whilst I don't like the imagery of 'ganging up' on any one person...Christopher Columbus was Italian. Also, he didn't exactly discover America, as some Vikings colonised Newfoundland (Canada and America not being two different countries at the time) at around 1006....some 445 years before Columbus was born.

Ahhhhh that explains it. I try not to be stereotypical. Working as I do surrounded by people from the all (EDIT sorry, I forgot Wales.... ooops three) four countries in our little island, nationality doesn't bother me.
Of course, people who are jerks displease me.....

Well I was the only one NOT from America in that match and they all ganged up on me. I did nothing to them, I was doing very well and they sore it as a reason for ganging up on me and started shouting abuse at me and taking the micky out of my British accent. I retaliated in the only way I could being it was 1 on 7. It worked and kept them quiet. I ended up going from 1st to last because a Ragnorock kept stealing the kills on me for about 5 minets. I sent a e-meil to Xbox Live stateing what happend and I got one back saying there will be an investigation and that I was under watch aswell. Which is fair enough because I did give them abuse back, only I did it to get it off me! I got an e-mail saying that because I retaliated no action was to be taken. I thought that was ok but the fact that i wasn't treated fairly throughout the match did play in my mind!
*noddles* A lot of the American's are known for their trashtalk (See Jerry Springer) but it's often best not to get involved as a lot of them are usually kiddiwinks who really don't know any better.
