PvE with a few notes.
EA/EM i think is a low consuming set with decent defence at low lvl. Else a Inv/ but you have to focus mostly on s/l-based missions. Stone/ has the lowest defence (1 small auto-resist and a s/l-defence armor), so not that good in defence but only takes a little bit of end.

Thanks for the fast reply. But what else is there besides EM? I just don't think it's for me.
My fire/inv didn't have any major problems, and none after stamina.
I started an SS/Inv and really didn't take to it so I rerolled as an SS/Fire and haven't looked back
/Fire's got a heal, end recovery power and some damage auras (very nice with full fury). The res is decent but the lack of knockback protection will force you into the leaping pool but I'm still having great fun. Only lvl 25 at the mo but fiery embrace will add huge damage to those auras (+100% IIRC) later on.
Excellent powerset.
Take anything you like , just at low levels learn to run 1 shield , so for example if you go dark , only dark embrace needs to be up , obsidian shield when you versus hold mobs .
At higher level when DO are out you can afford more shields up slot it with 2 end redux DO each .
The main issue with brute is to learn to build up fury fast
So inherent brawl is a very good power just slot it with end redux , you attacks dont need to hit to build up fury.
While you gain levels you need to decide if you want to go be a tanker brute or scrapper brute ..
Thats the real difference in the play , if you find you do enough damage and maintain enough fury then slot those attacks with endurance reduction , if you find your attacks are not powerfull enough to kill something fast then slot up with damage .
Unlike most other AT a brute can be customised to suit your own playstyle , its up to the player itself what you want to do in the end all the options are there

[/ QUOTE ]I can't think of an AT where that doesn't apply, really.

I felt I made more difference with my Brute than anything else I played build wise. For my Rad/Rad defender there's not much choice in build, my DM/Sr is pretty much the most obvious build there is. My Ice/Ice dominators build isn't vastly different to any other, but I've not seen any brute with the same power choices as me
"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"
Im having fun with my fire/fire
both a self heal and a endurance recovery power, and an additional build up in the secondary set, while the primary set has a very powerful aoe
They say we are very good at pve but not that good at pvp
Then again, i see alot of people having theorized themselves into conclusions everywhere, instead of actually having done it themselves, so for all i know we are good at pvp as well
I wanted to make a brute because its the time to make a brake from my MM. But I dont know anything about them, except that they eat a Sh... big load of endurance. Im also quite an altoholic, so it would be better if he wouldn't be SUCH a problem at low levels.
