Now, to get Stamina in I need to give up 3 powers, and so far I think only think of Flash and Group Invis to give up.

Also, I'm not 100% sure the extra slots in both RAs are needed other than recharge.

Any help please.

Looks ok, I'd ditch Flash (could never get on with that power) one of the invisibilities - probably group, and absorb pain.

On my 30 ill/emp I rarely encounter a situation where a 6 slotted heal other won't fix things, and healing aura tends to fill in the blanks, hence no absorb pain.

From what i know of RA (which isn't much), i suspect you will be ok to slot 3 recharge in each, with spare slots going into them if you have them.

I know some people don't like deceive, I personally love it, but if you are 50/50 on it, you could drop that and take flash later on, combining it with power blast for containment fun.

You gotta say, this is how I want the troller.

We all have preferences. I would have gone PvP, since ill/emps are sweet in PvP. 1 of the best support builds you can make.

In PvE you also have to make a few choices. Personaly stamina isnt that important to me, since I usually team with kins or emps to give me the end I need. I know a good share of people who play this game, and I can make builds based on my online friends.

You might wanna get your epic shield instead of powerblast. Either that or find the slots to 6 slot it.

Considder dropping spectral wounds if you wanna be support.

Maybe drop a few of the end mods in RA. Powerboost can easily make up for the lost.

I would keep the extra slots in Regeneration Aura. Someone recently gave some numbers on how much Regeneration Aura increases your regen rate. I don't remember the numbers exactly, but it's impressive. I've heard it's more impressive if you fire off Power Boost before doing it, but haven't tried it out.

As a completely impractical example: I don't have a /Emp Controller, but on my Empathy Defender, three-slotted RegenA is enough that I can stand in front of my boyfriend's Ar/Dev Blaster in the Arena, let him attack full-out, and he cannot overcome my regen rate. This may say something about Ar/Dev, but suffice to say, normally he'd be able to kill me (even if a little slowly ), but he can't if I have slotted RegenA running. The Controller version will be weaker, but I'd imagine it's still quite nice. Unslotted, on the other hand, I always found it to be a bit unimpressive.

Just to qualify this, I was using a Hastened Ignite>Slug>Ignite attack chain, which is about as high-damage as you can get for AR - the health was whittling down, but it was a damned slow process - especially when you consider that that particular chain can take normally out a Defender in 30 seconds or less.

No, the Health was going down, then back up. Then RegenA dropped and it went down rather suddenly because I was standing in some fire laughing at you. Full Auto was rather amusing, too.

Spectral Terror doesn't really need any slots. It's recharged before it dies, it has a stupidly high accuracy and the duration on its fear is perfect as it is. I'd just slap a feardur or a range in the one slot and put the rest of them on fortitude. I'd also change the slotting on Fort to 3 defence buff and then as many recharge as you can manage, since the tohit on fort is already high enough unslotted.

As for the RA thing, I'd say it's probably OK to ditch one or two of the endmods in recovery aura, but keep the heals in regeneration aura. In terms of total regeneration rate, with 3 heals in it it's only a teeny tiny bit less effective than IH. Fire off Powerboost beforehand and you've basically given your whole team double IH.

Now, as for /Empathy... Stamina isn't needed, but if you're controlling and buffing, you'll want to keep a damn good eye on your End bar.

For Healing Aura, I'd go 3x Heal, 2x Recharge, 1x EndRed.
Res: 1x Recharge
Clear Mind: At least 1x Range, 2 if you've the slots handy. Three's good, but 2's almost as good.
Fort: 3x Recharge, 3x Def. You may want to swap one Def to a ToHit, but the base is pretty high and people should really go 2x Acc in attacks/mez's anyway so it's not much of an issue these days.
Recovery Aura: 3x Recharge, 1x EndMod. Unless you're team is LUDICROUSLY End Heavy, you shouldn't need more.
AP: 3x Heal, 1x Recharge, 2x Range. But that's PvP Spec for my Empath. :P
Regen: What pretty much everyone else has said, 3x Recharge 3x Heal.
AB: 3x Recharge, 1x End Mod. Minimum in my opinion. If you've spare slots, maybe go for heal.


The main issue with Ill/Emp is that you've got tough slot choices, you can't really max one area without slightly neglecting another.

If you're going for PvP, I'd lean more towards Empathy than overall Control. If it's PvE, then I'd probably skip Absorb Pain. Lock down the hard hitting targets with PA, Spectral Terror and hold spam instead of AP'ing.

If you're going for an all round build, looks nice apart from a few slots I'd change.

I'd like to be a bit of both, but leaning more to PvP. I'm not a big PvP person but like it from time to time. No way I'm I dropping AP, its such a good heal, its the only thing I have that can bring a tank up to almost 70-80% health from being in the red.

Hmmm, drop my attacks, its not like I solo with LDF in either PvE or PvP, so that is an idea.

Thanks for the help so far guys, and the link to the PvP empath. I *might* keep Group Fly, I'll just have to see how it works out.

why dont i have a problem.... >.> i guess you need all the power apart from (in illusion set) flash, spectacal wounds and that controly one... and then i got recall friend and tp, swift, health and stanima, primal forces mastery... thats about it

There is a build thats half way between those two, is without stamina, and is more for support with tactics + assault.

I'll post again once I think of that build.
