just a running theme I've noticed. Though quills are nice and regen does have the end to run them it would depend on your plans for the character, if you plan on being in very large teams I wouldn't bother but they're a real help for small teams and solo

Well I couldn't find anywhere Pre-35 to fit them in that wouldn't delay some other, more important power choice, hence the decision not to take them.

True, but until Lv26 I don't actually have anything other powers that I need to fit into a chain and having a more frequent attack is handy.

Could do what I always do with DM, take the first power, then at level 32 respec it out for the second. I always swap Shadow Punch for Smite, no different swapping Barb Swipe for Lunge

Barb Swipe is the suck because you hardley use Lunge as it is, Lunge has faster animation and trust me at times it'll be up but you wont need it. It looks ok, though, funny slotting with attacks though, what is it with people not slotting 1 acc 3 damage 2 Recharge? 
It is the best way to go for Spines especially .
And wait - just to be different? Spines is the flavour of the month don't cha know.

i cant see you needing end redux in all your attacks personally but exchanging for acc or rechg where preferable through feel is something anyone would probably do anyway.
Your choice of what to slot and when to slot spells "TANKER". I would have more faith in killing before being killed as a scrapper.

The whenslotting is entirely random - as with most builds - as I can never be bothered to work out level-by-level slotting when I'm planning a toon.

Lots of S&L resistance would take away my confidence in killing quickly and make me want to slot for the longer fight as a Spine/Regen (and yeah quills is an end hog)

Nah, forget that. Not neccessary, slot everything 1 accuracy 3 damage 2 recharge, gettin' stuff killed quicker is better for a Spines. Longitivity isn't something a Spines can always achieve with their health bars.

How about Quick Recovery earlier? Once you get Spine Burst you'll be surprised how much of an end drain it is. I would get it immediately after SB.
I'm already at Lv13, having taken QR at 12, and I honestly don't really need it even now.
