Scrapper Powers
Actually, your secondary is something like regen, SR, dark armor or invul.
Speed is a pool power, and yes, you should drop flurry and whirlwind, hasten is totally great power once you have it 3-slotted with SO's, far superior to flurry, and whirlwind isn't really that great unless you have lots of endurance to spare.
If you post your primary and secondary sets I could give some advice on what powers to take.
Hi - thanks for this.
My Powers are as follows:-
Primary - Martial Arts: - Storm Kick, Thunder Kick, Cobra Strike, Crane Kick, Focus Chi & Crippling Axe Kick.
Secondary - Super Reflexes: -Focused Fighting, Agile, Focused Senses, Practised Brawler.
Plus the Speed power set - Flurry, Super Speed & Whirlwind.
I find I tend to run out of energy in big fights.
Any advice on the best way to improve my powers?
Thanks Again.
I'd agree with the hasten comment - much more useful than flurry and whirlwind together.
As for your end (endurance - energy) trouble:
- make sure to put endurance reducers in all your attacks and toggles (Focused Fighting/Senses).
- also try to pick up stamina somewhere (along with 2 of swift, hurdle and health).
- and whirlwind really eats into your end, so be careful.
Lastly, all of the above (mine, at least ) is opinion: it's your character, have fun with him/her!

Hi dudes, my first post!! I wonder if you can help me with my secondary powers - I am a lvl22 scrapper and I have a good range of kicks and punches, but my secondary set is Superspeed, Whirlwind and Flurry. I was teaming last night and some of my colleagues were commenting that I should dump flurry and whirlwind asap!! Any advice on this? Someone was singing the praises of hasten, for example.
Any advice would be really great!

Martial Arts good choice
I think for a first build yours is very good, whereas my first build was so shockin
Once you hit lvl 24 you'll be able to respec (reselect your powers)
This is an example of you could build up to lvl 24 remember its your toon but a little bit of advice

Stamina means you wont run out of end as quickly and hasten will increase the recharge of all your attacks for 2 minutes

at lvl 24 you dont just respec your ppowers, you are able to start a trial which at the end you could get a respec
They are not just 'given' at lvl 24 although when I7 FINALLY comes sometime around that everyone will be given a single free respec for all of your alt chars (something that i do but im not sure about every1 else is, create loads of lvl 1 chars so when they get to higher lvls you can respec em for free)
/SR scrappers get quickness so don't need hasten. Quickness is also a passive power so is always on and allows you to set PB as your autofire power.
Also, there is nothing wrong with having Flurry as a scrapper if it fits your concept (although it does need an extra +ACC compared to your other MA powers).

VIGILANCE Captain Caledonia 20 - Yeah, I made toons on the French server coz we only had 4 back then (might have to transfer/recreate them on one of the US servers)
..and many more!
There's notthing wrong exactly with whirlwind and flurry but there are certainly better powers nad while it's true to say you don't need hasten with that and quickness you'll be faster than a cocaine fueled greyhound with seven legs i.e. a monstrosity.

[/ QUOTE ]So very wrong... Quickness is 0,2 recharge buff, hasten is 0,7. Also, they stack.

And if u can get AM, SB or AB, get it too. When having one recred power meant u dont need any other?
Apart from that, get the fitness pool, u will need it, and will make ur life easier
When I first started scrapping, I used to swear by Flurry. I used to just LOVE Shadow Maul followed by Flurry - two attacks with similar animations and lots of little damage numbers coming out of the bad guy's head. However.... Flurry is a pool power, and these should IMHO always be considered supplimentary to your primary and secondary powersets rather than relying on them instead of powers taken from your main powers. The exception to this is obviously your travel power, for which there isn't an equivalent in a primary or secondary powerset.
Other pool powers that are often quoted as being almost compulsary are stamina and hasten. It is possible to be a very succesful hero without either of these, but there are going to be times later in your Co* experience when you curse and swear because you haven't taken them. Stamina comes from the fitness pool and can be taken at level 20 after 2 of hurdle, swift and heath. It increases your endurance regeneration and is the answer to a LOT of endurance problems for many heroes. It is ideally slotted with three endurance modifier enhancements.
Hasten comes from the speed pool and can be taken at level 6. It has the useful effect of increasing your recharge times for its duration. However, the downside of it is that your endurance still gets used at the same rate by your powers, which are of course recharging faster. For a scrapper though, this does kind of mean you can hit bad guys faster and more often, which is about as good as it gets for a scrapper. It is a particularly useful power to activate when fighting elite bosses and AV's when damage per minute/second can be very important and sppeding up your attacks can make the fight go a little faster. Don't forget that along with the blaster, a scrapper is the main damage source for most teams. Hasten is ideally slotted with three recharge reduction enhancements as it is often important to get it going again once its duration runs out.
Another important consideration in your build is how you prioritise the enhancement slots in your powers. For my own personal preference, every attack in my main attack chain has an endurance reducer in it. Every toggle that I have to run has endurance reducers in it (up to 3) The less endurance any power uses keeps you fighting that little bit longer, keeps your toggles up a bit longer and means you can squeeze in just one more attack if needed. An important consideration is that although your hit points go up with your level, your endurance never increases without accolades such as the Atlas Medallion. So, at level 50 you will have the same endurance running ten toggles (perhaps), and using ten different attacks (perhaps), as you had doing the tutorial with one toggle and one attack. Reducing your endurance drain is an important consideration as you progress through the levels.
Hope this helps.

As a SR scrapper I have Stamina and Hasten. I have hasten on autocast. It makes Broadsword THAT much stronger :P Endurance is also very very important cause your toggles are your life and when you're out off endurance your toggles drop and you'll faceplant very very fast.
Didn't think much of Whirlwind and picked it up just recently.
But now in the Redcaps missions it does wonders putting bosses out of a fight. (team taking on the smaller foes) And it works fine as a panic-button if you draw too much aggro.
I'm beginning to like Whirlwind. With stamina I can keep up whirlwind infinate (make sure you have hasten off because you'll get a endurance hit when it deactivates).
I don't know a thing about flurry, guess I din't need it with Broadsword attacks.
Hasten is great. Whirlwind is very..situational. But it's good for some PvP, even if it has been nerfed. I get hasten on all my characters, well worth it, stops you putting so many recharges in your attacks.
