Those mobs get a -Damage debuff too, so each of those slowed down attacks hurts less. It also grabs a lot of aggro. It's very possibly the best damage mitigation power in the set and certainly far too good to miss.

What about - no Icicles?
Icicles is unnecessary with CE, which is superior to any other taunt aura. Icicles would only be useful for extra AoE damage, but I already have whirling axe, pendulum and fireball.

Got a lowbie Ice/Axe myself in the form of The Raging Viking (RRRAAAAARRR!!!).
So, can anyone comment on the knockback with Pendulum? Little to none, or enough to make you think about respeccing it out?

The prospect of knocking everything in front of you out of Chilling Embrace (which is an awesome power BTW) range gives me nightmares. Testing will most definitely occur at level 38 befoe a power is selected.
CE is the best Taunt Aura in the game. Icicles is &$&*%.

Icicles is a good damage dealer, it does most of my damage output on my Ice tank. It is certainly an optional power. CE is a requirement.
