Confusion and PvP

Being a fellow mind controler i find Confusion to be one of the best tools we have for PvE (just love those free buffs). However im finding it absoslutely useless for PvP and considering we get mass confuse instead of a pet which does help to a certain degree in PvP i cant help feel somewhat a bit miffed.
So my question is if anyone has any ideas of how to slot/use Confusion so that it can be usefull in a pvp zone or arena match?

I havn'#t tried it in pvp yet and I can't advise slotting (pve style slotting I'd imagine would be fine, a confuse duration or 2/3 even would help(explained why in a moment)).

Last night I played my ice/kin corruptor and in a team we were really doing well in sirens. When I got confused (I think it was called diseive, no idea what powerset does that) I was pretty useless tot he team Couldn't heal them, buff them or free them from holds etc and it really lasted quite long (the reason for duration increases). Hit a support character with this and it will cripple a team (unless they have bfs).

Well, the thing about in PvP is, when confused, people normally jsut jump out of there, waiting for it to wear off.... I think they should be taken over, and have no control of their actions....

Hmm intriguing i might use my confusions on the more squishy types then since i only ever seem to go up againts stalkers and brutes these days who seem to have a good load of resistance to it, either that or the actual purple bubbles arn't showing up above their heads :/. Yeah would be cool if the opponent would get taken over too sort of like WoW priest mind control ability

yeah I just run off too, hence if you hit a support char or a controller perhaps it really makes a difference. I can't think off the top of my head if any AT actually has confuse resists. Tactics does give resistance againsts it though. Providing you can actually confuse someone it really is very nasty .

2 Acc, 3 Duration. Target the pets first tanks with taunt on auto-fire are good too.

And if you ever time it just before recovery aura or a nuke, you'll know why it is so insanely great

What Light_Petting has said, is very true

Personally, I'll confuse the owner of the Pet first, this makes all active pets turn on the owner of said pets with the result of great laughs to be had by all

Would confusing a bubbler with Force Bubble running cause all their teammates to get hit by the knockback? Because I can see it being INCREDIBLY useful if that's true. One hit and you can wipe the entire team with no fear of being knocked back. Drop it on a stormy and she/he will debuff the rest of his team hiding in his hurricane. Drop it on a rad with his debuffs on you and then run around debuffing the rest of his team. It has infinite uses.

Steamy Mist protects against confusion in PvP so it might take a few applications to break through if they're running it

Yes Xan, I've done this to a people in the few times I have PvPed (you being one of them), and as Gen as said, thats more or less why I have Steamy Mist for PvP.

Earth's Pet and Gravity's Pet have Res to most, if not all, mez effects and thats why I go for the pet caster over the pet, its also why Grav/Storm is sooo annoying in PvP, can't confuse the Controller due to Steamy Mist and I can't confuse Sing due to its mez Res.
