Claws changes
Slash's crappy animation is gone? Yay!
Interesting to see what the new Strike animation is going to be like... and I suppose Swipe is going be ala Barrage or something. Interesting .

i reckon strike will be like a sort of long brawl.
And i think swipe will be a quick barrage, only from below.

Its been said before swipe will follow barrages animation, but who knows by how much.
All good changes, though I would have thought Eviscerate would have been looked at, it maybe is. Just seems for such a long animation, small damage, the x2 chance to crit, never seems to actually crit and the aoe part of it is tiny. Its a cone right? So despite me spinning over and my arms slicing roughly..4 mobs across I only ever seem to hit the one right in front of me.. Meh I only just got the power so should probably wait to comment..

This is the first detailed description of the Claws changes.
Eviscerate is fine (except for the animation), the damage is just higher than Focus, it does crit often and it is easy to get it to hit multiple foes with a bit of practice.

Beware of assumptions based on your perceptions. Remember all that noise a while back about a bug in accuracy. "Everyone's hitting less often!" Wah, wah, moan. Remember that? I even agreed. Long streaks of misses... must be true.
Then I got HeroStats working. Then I discovered all my attacks were hitting 95% of the time. Kind of puts a crimp in your feeling of being able to estimate worth a damn.
Thing is, people see patterns where there are none. Humans are amazingly good at spotting patterns, so good, in fact, that they see patterns in true chaos. Tends to result in conspiracy theories, like "they nerfed accuracy and didn't tell us!"

Badging character: Bimble on the Union server, Badgehunter.com and City Info Tracker.
I find that all scrapper's (melee) cone attacks take a bit of practice before you can hit 2 or 3 foes.
And here's me just used my free respec to remove Swipe because of the long cast time.
Oh, well. Only a few levels to go to pay a visit to the reactor.
I have just hit 27 with my Claws scrapper, but I am considering dropping Eviscerate for Slash when the changes happen.
I find the animation is too long in comparison to other claws attacks. I'd rather keep up a steady stream of attacks than the big delay in the attack chain that it causes. (whereas I have no problem with Ripper from Spines which has the same animation...seems to fit that set better)

Have to say Badger, although it is a little long, it tends to critical better / more, does a lot of damage, and by the finish of the animation, some of your other attacks will have recharged. Cant say ive ever had problems with it in my chain, seems to fit nicely .....
we do all play differently though, and i havnt tried the spines version to commment. my 0.2 pence :-)
The other changes will be most welcome though :-) hope they slide in a change for the use of follow up, as castle mentioned before.

i am a little bit gutted about this i actually thought swipe was very claws like the dps increase effect given through action time change could of been granted by another type of change and the looks kept the same.
I especially would of loved slash to of had this animation as its the animation i would imagine to have a more realistic -def effect.

I wouldnt, sometimes you really need that instant high damage (if your lucky enough to have it recharged) plus its 1 of the highest auto'd dps attacks in the scrapper sets.

Eviserate is definately a long animation, however I am now at level 35, and it certainly is a cone power, generally hit 3 or 4 goons at once. Still like focus as an attack, especially for goons that deal lot of damage up close, especially when soloing.

I agree plus you can hit more peeps with this move making it easy to kill your next victim.

Here are the major changes coming in I7:
Swipe: Changed animation to a Two Hit swipe. Cast Time reduced to 1.5
Strike: New Animation, basically a stab to the midsection. Cast Time is 1.17 seconds.
Slash: Uses Strike's old animation. Cast Time 1.33 seconds.
