Fire/Elec for possible advice ;)
Wow - not a single reply! I too would be interested in any help/advise for this build. Ive got a level 17/18 fire/energy blaster that I took out for a spin (created him yonks and yonks ago as part of sg concept that died). However, I am not to sure myself on whats any good and possible slotting. Would be interested to know whether fire breath is worth slotting up or should I save it for maybe more damage potential powers. Hopefully some experienced blasters or those in the know will be kind enough to enlighten us .

I can't really comment on the elec side but the fire side looks ok you might want to put some damage in fire blast, the rest seems fine.

fire breath is one of your most important powers so i would suggest taking it and slotting it, 1 acc 3 damage atleast.
As you're going the Leaping route, it's too bad you haven't Acrobatics. I'd drop Blazing Bolt or Lightning Clap for it.
Fire blast isn't slotted, and you haven't Hasten at all. If you don't slot it, you're in for a world of pain till 18 unless you team a lot, IMO. (melee attacks have horrible end cost and recharge timers) If you drop LC or BB for Acro, the slots should go in Fire blast.
Is reign of fire frowned upon? I know my blasters got that but slotting wise not sure. Ive got it 3 slotted at the mo with 2x dmg and 1 x acc (still got training enh at the mo). Im guessing slotting reign of fire with damage is probably a waste of time (due to not really doing that much).

It's useful if you have something to immob/slow foes, and also good for making an escape... I wouldnt slot ACC as the base should be high enough, rather 3 damage and maybe some rechargers.

It's the indscriminate use of Reign of Aggro that is frowned upon. Its definatly a situational power.
It is due some love in issue 7, in that build up and similar buffs will boost its damage (they don't atm).

Get Power Sink. And Inferno.
Well, there's no chance of you attempting a blap anytime soon.
You have this complete fixation on blapping, then Blazing Bolt in there. Might work for you but I wouldn't do it that way. Matter of style really.
The only real flaw is that you slot Flares and not Blast - Flares is mediocre as a filler attack to get your chain going, but Blast is all around much better. If you want only one usuable single target ranged attatck, just avoid Flares and slot Blast.
As for not having Hasten, I see no problem with that. Hasten will give you a better burst damage output, but is by no means required.
Rain of Fire is a great power if you (or a regular teammate) have some form of area snare. Even Caltrops will do. But if you plan on random teams and lack an area snare yourself, don't take it.
At the moment ive not really planned his build (rarely ever do). All the powers look good so good - had a tough call with the choices of health, blaze, aim and havoc punch (went with blaze). I make the decisions as and when - normally tend to do alright (and if something goes wrong can always respec). Seems more fun that way
So far when using my reign of fire aka reign of aggro its not been to bad on the enemies legging it away. Note ive tried to use at every convenient opportunity and so far have now been renamed deathwish (sometimes when theres been some sort of snare but a number without). I guess I have been able to get away with it as the teams I have been in are all very experienced - most of the enemies end up dead before they have escaped and had the chance to kill me.

Rain of Fire also has an inherent, non-slottable slow these days. Not huge, but clearly noticeable. Not sure if it always had that.

Having levelled a defender to 50, and currently levelling a Dominator in CoV, I though my next hero project would be the squishiest of the squishy - a blaster! With that in mind, I'm looking at Fire/Elec, purely for concept. Any experiernced blasters able to have a look at my planned build and tell me where I'm going wrong? Cheers
