Caleb Giant Monster in Nerva

Guys there has been much speculation around Caleb and how this GM will actually spawn.

From reading various posts on the boards it appears it has something to do with killing all the Nerva Demons...

I am wanting to put together a server wide quests to spawn this beasty and slay him.

I am calling for all SG leaders and members to join me on a quest...

If we have to kill all the Nerva demons this will take more than an 8 man team, more than an active SG but probably the efforts of the entire server, much the same as the effort involved with a hami raid..

Therefore can I ask everyone to meet on Wednesday 1st Feb 2006.

If everyone can log in with there lvl 40's. For people who are under lvl 40 lacky's can be provided...

To make this work we need to muster up around 50-60 villains maybe more

Anyone who reads this thread please pass it on.. remember the americans couldnt get him to spawn... so this is down to European pride... Lets spawn him kill him and post a demo on the American site

My global is @jamus... I will be contacting all the leaders of SG's I know over the next couple of days..

In the mean time any information you may have to help us spawn the GM would be appriciated...

I know a bunch of the daggers would be up for this.......however I know load of our 40's wont be able to make it on this weekend, due to a real life social we are going to. Will spread the word around the others tho.

DO you think we would get better numbers if we changed the date? perhaps to during the week? maybe a Monday or Wednesday night?

Wednesday nights prolly a good one. Although is just this weekend we cant make. the 1st of Feb is a wednesday, nice memorable date. Monday I know I sometimes have issues getting away from work. Imagine others have same problems too.

In that case lets stamp WEDNESDAY 1st FEB as the offical date... I will adjust my post above and lets work to that.

This gives us a couple of weeks to push numbers together... from reading over the US forums.. it seems that 60+ numbers are needed to kill all the demons and potentially knock out all the fires around Thorn Isle

As Jamus said we need as many people as poss... Please post any information about spawing the GM here so we can put it all together. I know that a lot of Devastation will be looking into this tonight.

- It is not just a straight "Kill All Demons"
- There are clues about what to do ingame, but possible not enough
- Speculation has been rife about the Possessed Scientists and the Watchfires

Been interested in reading about this but not got a character high enough to join in! I had enough problems with the Ghost of Scrapyard

What time were you thinking on Wednesday Jamus?

I'm guessing a lot of people would be at work so can we make it around 7pm GMT? (Timing's open to debate of course)

I'll let PURE EVIL know about this and hopefully we will be there to offer any assistance.

It is true that it's not just about killing the demons.. many people have said you also need to extinguish all the fires around Thorn Isle as well...

I would like to shoot for say 7pm GMT in Nerva on the 1st Feb. Maybe meet near the 2nd respec NPC in the water.

We all need to put out heads together and discuss how we are going to get him to spawn

I think Jamus told us to meet there because it's a lot closer to where the Nerva demons are and Thorn Isle.

So erm? you intend to kill all nerva spectrals eh?

you know that the justice server did this? they made a second nerva spawn, meaning they has 250+ villains trying. They did everything that was know as a possible spawn trigger up to now, and they failed. americans as they are, they immediately claimed that it is bugged, but it isnt, making him spawn is incredibly hard.

Possible steps involved in the trigger:

# Kill all Nerva Demon spawns on Thorn Isle within 1 12 hour in-game day/night cycle
# Kill X Nerva Demon's around Thorn Isle during day/night cycle
# Kill all MOBs around beach fires
# Leave players at destroyed beach fire spawn points to prevent respawning
# Kill all MOBs around north/south summoning circles in outer ring
# Kill all MOBs inside the inner ring of Thorn Isle
# Leave players inside inner ring to prevent MOB respawning
# Bring Possessed scientists to the north/south summoning circles (and/or kill them there)
# Bring Possessed scientists to the altars in the inner ring (and/or kill them there)
# Bring the lvl43 Behemoth to one of the circles/altars (and/or kill him there)

on top of this, i dont think killing all the spectrals is the solution. Caleb being a GM giving a badge, only 3 (actually 4, every team that does 25%+ damage to him) gets the badge, and clearin the whole of thorn isle is impossible with just 24 ppl, as they respawn at a crazy rate. its probably got more to do with the lvl 43 behemoth minion that spawns, the possed scientists, and the summoning altars. but thats just what im thinking

I happen to agree with shift... from reading up the theory was to kill demon lords as per the post...

Thing is that may not happen... I've tried poking RockJaw with a large stick to get him to spill the beans.. the only response I get is... read the forums and speculate..

(i think he doesnt know, and I'm probably gonna get another spanking for writing that)

I think we should come up with an action plan... try a few possibilities and take it from there...

At the end of the day Americans are stupid (np offense) they must have done something wrong

one of the GMs responded to in a PM to a player, after reading what they had done (on justice) and said that they missed 1 vital part. 1 thing concerns me tho, this is an actual quote from a dev (autoresponse, gotten by people on several occasions):

this is 1 example, and other replies are different as per teh situation they were sent in, they all have one thing in common tho: the words "sustained effort", the devs seem to love using this to describe it, and stick to it (smart policy, to avoid even MORE confusion) which means, it probably takes SUSTAINED EFFORT, alas, these terms are a little vague, so we are still stuck.

Also, all of the PMs mentioned killing all spectral demon, again, what is 'all'.

I'm starting to like this solving the riddle lets beat the stupid yanks to it!

[/ QUOTE ]It's been said few times by GM's and cuppa that it takes much skill/coordination/planning to defeat all the spectral daemons to make the GM spawn, so it's definitely got to do with those.

Also, it could take more than 24 people to spawn, they could've coded it like lusca and hamy so that everyone who deals damage gets a reward.

I wont be trying, running round killing demons in a vague attempt to spawn something when we dont know what to do is a waste of my time. I will just sit back, wait for information to filter through and for the yanks to do it first.

lol, what can I say, im a thinker and dont mind doing something (anything) that has a purpose but essentially random acts are not my cup of tea Im patient enough to find out what the hell Im supposed to be doing
