Invulnerablilty - Invincibility now only gives a bonus for the first 10 enemies. See - I knew we were too powerful .

Actually that has nothing to do with the reason why Invincibility now gives a lower buff. Energy Absorption, which had the same change of numbers (14->10) still gives the same overall buff.

Invincibility was bugged from the start, this "fix" has been in the pipeline for quite a while now.

Well, the fact that it was bugged means you now get about 1/2 the def buff you used to from it so in effect it has made you worse yes.

On the flip side, stick 3 heals, 3 recharge in dull pain for more hitpoints than you used to be able to get :P

Being happy about that is kind of like saying being punched in the stomach is a better than a kick in the nuts :P

Most of the tank ATs need a sort out, its been said before but I think ED was what pushed a lot of the sets out in the scrap heap and turned the tank into low damage, high hit point scrappers who if they wish to team at all have to make do with basically zero offence at all until the late game to have any kind of defense going however small.

Incidentally Inv tankers now have the lowest average in most situations unless you include unstoppable, this includes non-granite stone tanks.

This is assuming starting off at the aggro limit ( 17 ) with the cycle down enemies feature and slotting 3 in each power. It also assumes no power pools.

With power pools ( Fighting, Health, Combat Jumping and Hasten ), Ice is the winner.

I guess I have to relearn my aggro levels. I hope it doesn't doom me to a Stateman style leacher.

Good idea about using 17 as the group size, I will change my defaults.

Using 17 as a starting group size will put Inv and to a lesser extent Ice in a better light.

However I don't think the devs actually expect us to fight 17 enemies.

3212.7 hp after dull pain use - I won't complain about the patch too much

Hoarfrost doesn't appear to be affected by this change - it was ~3200HP with 3 Heals before the patch and ~3200 with 3 Heals after the patch. Maybe it was already at the cap or something.

Anyway, Ice is now the second best Tanker overall after Stone in Granite and quite possibly better than Stone pre-granite.

Does this mean that we could be in the truely astounding position that Ice is actually the best Tank for the first half of the game? Regardless, I'm not celebrating, it's like Wreck (and Circeus before him) said, given the state of the AT in general any comparisons right now are like 4 people arguing over who's the most homeless - sure, you might be the "best", but you still don't have a house.

So far I quite like the way my tank plays. I thought it would be worse than this.

I've mainly been up against Nemesis but I also did a few Malta missions and a carnies one ( no I didn't just tank the Strongmen ). I also did a mission against ghosts ( in Tina thingies arc ) and was suprised how well Invincibility worked. The largest team I was in had 5 people in it, in the ghosts arc and I was perfectly happy tanking groups of them.

I worked out my Inv tanks defence against non-slash/lethal and I have 13 base, about 25 against 1 enemy, 34 against 5 and 46 against 10.

However the real test is against the nastier enemies ( Rularuu, some Praetorians ) with def debuffs ( which Inv has no resistance to *hurruph* ) and a largish team.
