Hamidon, get ready for round 2! 25/11/05

Right, so we might've not taken him down this time, we were outnumbered but got close. Getting close means it IS able to take him down. Alas we found out the hard way that the ED brought with it a harder time taking down hami and edited tactics. During the raid earlier today I had some various tactic discussions with other people and coming forth from that came the decision to let Hamidon know that us heroes cant be driven away THAT easy! Henceforth I call upon you, valiant heroes of Paragon City to challenge that blob for a new round and show him who's boss once and for all! The date as it is now is set to 25/11/05. However if people think its too short notice or a LOT of people cant make it, it can of course be changed. The main reason for doing it fast however is that some of us want to prove that even with a small amount of people it is able to have some jelly dessert. I regret to inform you that I cant disclose much of the plan yet seeing it is still worked upon. It will mainly be the already tested and successful hami plan, but seeing holds tend not be THAT effective anymore some tweaks are needed.
For those of you that know for sure they can make it, be sure to either post here, send me a pm or send me an ingame email. Also be sure to pass it on to all your friends that dont read the forums.

Of course it would be handy to get some details on the time right? The plan is to assemble at 6 pm GMT in eden at the hive gate. Then after forming teams etc I hope we can start the raid itself at 7 pm.

PS For the new tactic it'd be great if (especially controllers) could get the Geas of Kind Ones accolade (and of course vanguard )

Is there a level limit for this mish? I'm currently a level 41 Fire/Ice tanker, but I'm sure I'll be closer to 50 than to 40 by Nov 25th.

You need to e at least level 45 to enter the Hive (the zone Hami is in).

Forgot to include this while posting (doh!) so thought I'd better include it.

Costumes: everybody please wear a costume as simple as possible without auras or capes and follow this costume code depending on your AT:

Blasters - Red
Defenders - Blue
Empath defenders - Green
Scrappers - Yellow
Tankers - Black
Controllers - Pink
Kheldians - White

For the non-controllers, if you have a holding power please use H as chest detail.

Furthermore, if you are willing to do this but it sure will help.. if you still got an available respec as a non-controller, see if you can respec in a holding power (holds, not stun, immob, terror whatever) seeing we need all the holding power we can get.

its an idea, but it will be hard to combine if you have both a hold and a rez power therefore it aint necessary

One question though - where do you get this "Geas of Kind Ones" thingy, and what does it do? Since it sounds like it helps holds, I'm probably gonna need it to help back up the troller hold teams. (What with having two ranged holds on my blaster, and a third melee-range one if required)

dont worry hobo, got some alternatives for the PA drop team (as experimented last raid )

bout the geas of kind ones: its the accolade you get for getting every croatoa badge apart from the history badge. So that means every "kill 333 monster" badge, Jack in Irons badge, Eochai badge, Sally badge (need to slay her twice for it), Cabalist (for doing the TF) and every exploration badge. If people wanna do the TF but need a contact, or need any other help getting the badges send me an ingame mail and ill see if I can help in any way (got the TF contact). For what it does, it boosts your accuracy, end recovery and recharge rate but cuts on your defense. However seeing defense aint a big issue fighting hami anyway, it basically means you get to spam your holds faster and more accurate

I will however have one final hurrah against Hami. I can't be @rsed to get the accolades but I will run tactics if it's any help (maybe if there's enough ppl running it?).

And it reads:
When activated, your Vanguard Medal will double the duration of all your Disorient, Hold, Immobilize, Fear, Confuse and Sleep powers. Knockback distance is also increased. The effect of this boost will last for 1 minute. You can only activate the Vanguard Medal once every 25 minutes.

Ouch, that's a lot of badges to get... Guess I'll be playing Heroes a lot more than Villains until the raid, then... thanks for the info.

Right, just Giant Killer, Pumpkin King, and Cabalist to go. Cabalist will be simple enough - just need to find time, and a team - but I can't find Eochai or Jack in Irons anywhere... any help would be much appreciated.
