Spirit Tree worth it or a waste of space?
Teamed with someone with it, didn't find it a big boost to have, but I dont know how it was slotted.

Waste of space - it doubles health regen, which is not a big deal at all. It's unlikely to save your [censored], that's for sure.

Ive mine slotted with 2 SO heals just now and what a lot of [censored] , don't notice any diff at all. Going in my 1st respec.
It's also very bright and anoying to look at, if it doesn't do anything much its not worth having for the visuals

well for a none moving healing aura it is pretty bad, and a slow recharge. I think that one needs to be buffed to be all that useful overall. It CAN give a small boost in extreme fights with tons of minions who are practically overrunning you, espcially coupled with MM minions, but any other heal I have seen is better then it.

And looks terrible. Far too big and is that just a Toxic mist for foliage?
Spirit tree is apparently getting upgraded on test in US maybe here too

it went from 100% healing buff to 200% healing buff. making it half as crappy.
So you got this BIIIIG heap of [censored], than you take half away, and you stil got a BIIG heap of [censored].
thats how i view the Sprit Tree/Triage Beacon issue.

"A Scrapper is a lot like a chainsaw. Somewhat hard to handle, incredibly dangerous, and by far the most fun when wielded by the slightly insane."
Exactly. I don't stand around for long enough to benefit much from the location healing powers, everyone moves so fast, one mob to the next.

Yup roger that. Tis a shame tho I think its a pretty power, reminds me of DE trees. I guess in say a raid or large mob battle is would be more effective as u say folks dont tend to stand still (guess traps get same prob), give it legs or an ability to be recalled
The tree now is actully quite good, now you can really see your health moving up and it has saved me a few times.
also yestoday i had another plant dom with me and somone with trigen becon, the teams health never went below half with thos up.
Exactly - stack 'em up and you can get some serious healing going. The usual availability is a Spirit Tree and a Triage Beacon, and while it may not completely remove the requirement for heals, they _do_ help noticeably.
I think had they made the 2 Heal powers moveable it would be a lot more useful. Spirit Tree , like a Triffid could amble along behind you and the Triage could move on suspender field or something. Given it's relativly low output that at least would have been a bit of a compromise.

Ooo me deffo likes the triffid idea!
Soo with the recent update to the tree are we now of the opinion that its worth the power?
Triage now makes a noticable difference, not seen the Tree since the update, but if its the same as Triage then probably worth it. Its quite situational though, for battles you know are going to last.

Saw it in action last night when teamed with a Dominator (Hi Shimer).
I think it's decent enough to throw down for extra squishy protection. So the close combat melee types (I include my Necro/Dark MM in that since generally I'm doing heal-and-runs into melee to keep the corpses running) don't really benefit as they move out of range too quickly.
But the backline of corrupters, dominators and ranged masterminds seem to benefit since they can stick close and blast away.
It's probably the only power available to a Domintor to heal themselves. That has to be a good thing now that its been improved.
Dominators at range? Hmmmmm *pondering* you know that might work but then *looking at the ice sword* nah

Hehe well some dominator's at range then, well some at range for a lil while then moving in might be more accurate.
Cpl of plant and thorn powers have range on them, not overly sure of te other sets tho. but i canny see the sword being ranged unless your gonna chuck it at them? lol
Yeah as Ice my confuse/show powers are PBAOE, my most damaging attacks are PBAEO my hold is PBAOE, I think Ice isn't designed much for range, unless its a boss, then I use Block of Ice and the three blaster like powers, but most of the times I running in with the pets.

The idea of placing something static in one location is incredibly out of touch with normal gameplay.
How obvious must it be, ah yes you have to play to notice. :-)
[ The original design is clearly flawed. These two healing sources should obviously not be static. The indicated solution is brilliant. This was inserted for clarity. Have a nice day. ]
...
I'm currently of the latter opinion, I havent actually noticed any effect from this power at all, even when slotted with 2 heal enhance
