I'm willing to give him a chance, but with Burnin, most times ive ever inteacted with him is either him abusing me, or somehow finding a way to mess up a perfectly good team im in.
I have spoken to him a few times now though, and on occasion he can be a nice kid. So i agree, that if we treat him well, we will get it in return
I've teamed with Lui only once and witnessed him in the Hammi Raids.
The first time we were on the Croatoa TF where you have to rescue the witch (I forget the name of at the mo...the one where you have to defeat Mary McComber to get the hat). He wasn't too bad for much of the TF, just a bit chatty, a little irreverant and showing his age. But generally OK. Until the last mission. While the rest of the team were trying to clearout the redcaps between us and the captive which (is it Amy ?!) in order to make escorting her to the exit easier, Lui just left the group and hovered over her prison proclaiming that he'd found her and could easily free her.
After a few mins or us pleading with him not to, and to come back and help us clear the path first, he proceeded to free Amy. Which meant now we had to try and escort her out through all the other mobs plus the ambushes. Suffice to say we failed. 
Thanx for ruining the TF.
Then in the Hammi raid although I had no input from him or to him, it was obvious again that he is unfortunately just not suited to a game where you need to use teamwork to win through.
While he's not on my ignore list, I won't go out of my way to either team with him and infact prefer not to. If you can teach the guy some patience, some humility and some teamwork then it would be of benefit not just to him but to all of us.

I'm ashamed to admit this, but one of the reasons he's not on my ignore list is because sometimes some of the stuff he inadvertantly says is the stuff of comic gold. 
On the Hammi raid he annoyed me considerably, but often you just can't believe some of what comes out of his mouth. I was tempted to put him on ignore a number of times, but damn if I wasn't curious as to what rubbish he'd spout next.
And then I got torn between feeling sorry for the poor kid because of the response he was getting from the hero population at large and irritated with him because of his impatience, stupidity and lack of team spirit.

well i teamed with him in bloody bay, and we went hunting for shivans, then he DEMANDED that we go to IP and hunt family leaders, then he went hunting in independence port with someone in the team, i didn't go cause i was earning the 5 hour badge in BB, but he said, in his own words, (i will censor all the swears and names so no one is embaressed)

Actually, I can think of quite a few people who've ignored you (assuming you're Mongoose R). This, however, is not something I will discuss over the boards.
I've said it once, and I'll say it again. The boy just doesn't want to listen. It's apparent that myself and many other people have tried to talk to him, but evidently none of it has had any kind of effect.

Well I think the attitude of let him to himself is best and I maintain that. In fact tonight I was just musing on how many other people desrve a chance and dont get one while their is a thread on Lui when he acts up big time and abuses a friend of mine and a fellow member of Mighty Saguaros own SG.
I had the feeling it was not a good night when he began talking nonsense about adults shouldnt be playing this game. And he still seems to enjoy spamming invites repeatedly. If anyone is striking a chord I do suggest that matter be raised.
I still say he doesnt want to listen and I have no bitterness just time for me to call it went a long time ago. I hope he sorts himself but Ill just let it happen on his own devices or not. Time to give others a break now if we are full of forgiveness and understanding. Both are truly great qualites we all should give and enjoy but wasting them is another matter.

I'm actually the friend of Lodestars that recevied mucho obuse off Lui this morning. He told me to check this Topic out, so I decdied to post. I wont go into what abuse Lui gave to me, but it was enough that I called him a [censored] and put him on ignore.
Now I know there are better ways of dealing with that situation (like not calling him a [censored]) but I just have no time for this child. I feel very sorry for Lui, because he is obviously lacking something. Hence the desire for attention (I suppose he believes 'there is no such thing as bad press').
But what I am curious is that if he is still the abusive [censored] with the temper of a child after almost getting two characters to 50, why hasn't he been banned? I have never seen someone get mass-petitioned so fast in my life. Where do these petitions go?
Persoanlly I don't do second chances that often. Because for someone to make it on my friends list, they generally don't need second chances. But, there have been times when I have been a complete [censored] and had to say sorry. But I think this is the important factor that Lui lacks. There is no reaction to his actions. He can give people as much abuse as he wants and just keep playing. He isn't dicsaplined so he just does and says what he feels like.
I have no put him on ignore. I don't want to give him abuse, since I would like to think that I have been playing long enough to rise above that (at least, most of the time 
).
But I may take him off again because I do agree. Lui is the only person on CoH who has made me laugh to the point of hyper-ventilation.

I have given up petitioning abuse and bad language these days. It seems like my petitions go into a "dead letter" box and get ignored. I have petitioned a certain person at least 3 times for language and abusive behaviour and still he carries on.
I still stick by my live and let live principal and if he thinks its clever he has a whole thread about him on the forums then I actually feel sorry for him. I would personally feel quite ashamed if it was me.
The only thing I wonder is if he is the age he says he is, why aren't his parents monitoring his internet usage? There are weridos online (looks at DaSlasher )!
Anyway, I will continue laughing at his amazing comments and leave him be, maybe with no audience he may finally get the message.

has anyone tried positive reinforcement? praising the good. ignoring the bad? the other night he was saying on arena chat that he was kicked from a team for trying to contribute to the team, a stone tank was 'tanking' all others were either afk or leeching. He was kicked purely for trying to play his part in the team. I for one think that is awful. irrespective of past actions, people respond better to a positive remark rather than a negative one. he may have 'a way to go' but this does nothing to help

I gave him a chance.. more than one actually. Tried to be nice and stuff.... but the thing is that as soon as he finds out that hes not constantly verbally battered he think it's hes chance to start doing that. Aubiergine man will probably end up being prime minister (know it all little [censored] as he is) or something while Lui will end up to be something i like to beat up in pubs.

Unfortunately these days it is, the majority of kids around that age bracket in online games will always act like they're half of it, the good ones are the minority unfortunately but I've met a few players as young as 10yrs old who shocked the hell out of me because you could swear they were much older. There are some genuinely mature kids around who don't act like morons, but unfortunately they are still the minority amongst their age bracket, and the rest will be idiots.
Currently there is a right cretin on the forums who likes to post in block capitals and say hello to everyone on global with a single word, again in block caps; it's a slang word you might use for a cigarette. He's probably a little older than 15yrs old but certainly nowhere near his twenties, and acts like a complete moron 90% of the time, just shines a bad light on his age bracket as a whole.
