The "9pm under Galaxy Girl's skirt" Thread

I thought it might be fun, or even vaguely informative, to post some impressions of what's going on at our little RP meetings. Plus, if we can keep the thread going, it advertises the RP sessions more.

Or we can let it die a horrible death and fade into thread obscurity. Whatever.

Anyway last night:

Prize made Enherezza cry.
Glory discovered a hero even shorter than her, but still isn't sure what age has to do with the size of her Moonbeams.
Shadowplay was shadowy.
Zortel needs more sleep.
Oh, and Dark Wolf needs to change his socks.

Just to add:

Prize seemed preoccupied and upset about someting, not her normal self at all
Fusebox was a big hit
The Sentinel made a lot of cups of tea
Obsidian D<something> - spoke with a lot of Z and V's
The Psychotic was well... psychotic
Some cat girl was uber annoying (you know who you are....Gill)

This is great that so many people turn up at nine, let's keep it going, perhaps if we prove their is a need for a bar (read not dance party) then the Devs will be incredibly nice and create us one.

See you all tonight

PS Dark Wolf doesn't need to change his socks, the smell was foul-smelling medicinal herbs , so there :P

Well a bar in the danceclub then in its own room?
The club is cool
Would be fun if they got more people to use it as more than a pass through.

Some highlights from last night:
[ QUOTE ]
03-08-2005 22:08:58 [Local]Glory: looks at Fusebox* Did you know your hair is blue?
03-08-2005 22:09:04 Fusebox taps Glory on the shoulder. "Hey White, I'm going to go grab a bagle from the stand, want one?
03-08-2005 22:09:22 [Local]Fusebox: *Laughs* Of course it is silly, I dyed it.
03-08-2005 22:09:22 [Local]Glory: What's a bagel?
03-08-2005 22:09:31 [Local]Fusebox: Delicious, that's what it is.
03-08-2005 22:09:44 [Local]Kat anna: your hair died what you do then get a wig
03-08-2005 22:09:48 [Local]Glory: You killed your hair? *looks shocked* What did it do to you?
03-08-2005 22:10:32 [Local]Glory: *nods* I'm six months old, everything's new.
03-08-2005 22:11:21 [Local]Fusebox: *Looks shocked* Only six months? Baby's got more cannon than me, and I'm 15.
03-08-2005 22:11:50 [Local]Glory: Huh? I have a Moonbeam, but no cannon
03-08-2005 22:12:18 [Local]Fusebox: You call them your moonbeams? That's a freaky name.

And another favourite was when Fusebox was trying to explain to Prize who 'Boots' was:
[ QUOTE ]
03-08-2005 22:21:17 [Local]Fusebox: >She has those funked out gloves, saw her pop a Brick to The Zig in a second!
03-08-2005 22:22:39 [Local]Glory: (( How on earth do you manage to type that rubbish and keep a straight face? ))
03-08-2005 22:23:08 [Local]Glory: (( you... pop a brick to the zig? ))
03-08-2005 22:32:52 [Local]Fusebox: ((I need to boost my teen language mutilation by 62% ._.)
03-08-2005 22:33:04 [Local]Glory: (( at least ))

Last nights finest moments where the Sentinel for me which was just cool because I'm a sucker for steam punk, and fusebox liner, unfortunatell SP was more concerned about certain drama that was going on at the time.

So was I, but Glory wasn't supposed to be making it obvious she was listening, and you wouldn't believe how long it took for me to work out that Fusebox was Zortel.

Glory and Kat anna came up with the hair dye joke simultaneously, which just goes to show that great minds think alike. (There was a dye works near Macclesfield, might be still there, with the motto "We live to dye.")

And Sentinel was just stunning. Don't know about you, but I could actually hear the cut-glass English accent.

I also would like to give the Sentinal a big thumbs up. Definatly his way of talking fit the part ^^

Sentinel was great fun to play, and I'm very happy with the look. I don't like the chainmail at the waist and arm joints, but it was the most steampunk design I could come up with on short notice.

oh wonderful, did not know you were sentinal.. better say sorry for having kat use her katanna to scratch
"kat was 'ere" on your big metal bum.

and nice tea making my little kettle.

very hard to talk with prize when all she will do is look sorry for herself all the time, but the stare down did scare me all the same /em gulps

There are only three alternatives. It thinks were either a threat, food, or a mate. Its gonna either kill us, eat us, or hump us.

I'm sure someone has already asked this, but ...

...why are we meeting in a public park, when there's a perfectly serviceable bar available? From what I've seen, it's more of a social thing than a heroing thing, so a more relaxed setting would suit that ... and for the parts that aren't, it'd still seem a bit more professional going over the most recent plans of supervillains where civilians and other random encounters aren't wandering about. Finally, the bar setting would give people a general context to get playing from, rather than just a generic "we're gonna be here and do something".

I ran Skyway at lvl 3 without getting perished, how hard can Steel Canyon be?

I and others with recall friend can also teleport people to the bar OOC, I like the suggestion of a move.

It's not a bad idea certainly but Galaxy has a few advantages -
1 : it's really easy to find
2 : it's zero risk
3 : there are usually a few new-blood players kicking around, and the gathered roleplay shenanigans sets them a positive impression of the game
4 : I don't know where the bar is

Nothing to do with the meet but can I get my nomination in for this thread in the "Best Thread of the Year Title" competition

TY, TY. I still think I need to copyright it, but Syn says it's public domain and I can't. Are we opperating on English or US law?

Highlights from last night:

Fusebox... 'nough said.
Enherezza got a home. (Stunning and totally surprising piece of roleplay that just happened. Not going to explain it anymore than that, but it actually quite made the evening for me.)

Well, made it to my first "9pm under Galaxy Girl's Skirt" and had a blast. It was great to finally meet so many of you and roleplay with your characters, especially Fury, Shadowplay, Synaesthetic, Midnight Agent, and a bunch of others I can't remember.

All I can say from Thursdays meet, is "deep"

All I can say from Thursday's meet, is that Midnight Agent needs to get laid really badly, the grumpy so'n'so.
