Congrats Power Doll, was nice teaming with you back in the 30's!

April was enjoying her vacation, picking up the latest Jeffrey Deaver novel, she leaned back on her sun lounger, and left the endless paperwork and caseload of the Agency behind.

Her life had been good since returning to Paragon City, as good as it could be without Diana, but time was healing her sense of loss.

April's reverie was disturbed as the sun lounger lurched. Jumping to her feet, she was instantly relieved to see it was one of the Pumicites from the tribe which revered her as a goddess, forming in the earth.

Turning to the creature, April asked it, "What can I do for you stony?"

In it's guttural tongue, the creature ground out the word "War".

Picking up her Agency communicator, the Prize activated the device, instantly recognising the jittering sound at the other end as belonging to the Demondim.

"Elijah, is there anything wrong in Paragon?"

"Lady Prize, big trouble in city. Big battle."

Cutting off her communicator, April turned to the Pumicite messenger, "Earthport me now".

Allowing the Pumicite to completely envelop her, the heroine known as the Prize, melded into the Earth and began her somewhat unorthadox trip to the tunnels which permeated the area of Paragon City known as the Hollows.

If things were as bad as Demondim said, then the Prize and her Pumicite tribe would be entering the fray.

Ummm, Ummmm if there's a chance than, ummm like perhaps, ummm I could join you.

That's a shame Mbar. Looks like the Missus and step-daughter are away that weekend, so maybe able to all crash at her flat. Will make a decision nearer the time.

I think this is a great idea, but won't be bringing my toons along until something happens to improve the lag. Took me 30 minutes to get Bounty from Nerva to Mercy Island. When I got there I was so narked that I didn't stay for very long.

But I fully support this idea, and wish you all the best for it, and rest assured once my CoV woes improve I'll be thre with Bounty and Mr Munt.

I'm shocked by this, and a little surprised that NCSoft has taken this view of this particular toon. I remember teaming with Cap back when I was levelling Prize to 50 and that was yonks ago.

Very harsh, as it's such a little known character! I know how I would feel if someone found some obscure heroine called Prize with red hair and I was made to change her.

Forgot to say anyone who looks at the hotel website don't be scared off by the tariffs. I've had a verbal indication that the cost of rooms will be similar to travel inns etc.

I'm not sure how I'll decide which weekend to hold it, I suppose it will be the one which suits the most people.

I agree with Hikari regarding the wording of the nominations, but also agree with Brighteyes that it could have been handled better.

But the hatchet has been buried, so I'd like to politely request that the subject moves back to the topic of the thread.

Hikari-Hime, I felt as the thread only asked for positive nominations that is how the thread should have stayed.

My position as Founder should not count towards automatic moderator status, and to my knowledge no-one has ever suggested as such.

Yes I was absent for a long time, partially due to WoW for a time, and then for personal reasons which I'm not publicising on the board.

FFM - We will have to agree to differ upon the roles of moderators. And apology accepted. Let's return to the positive aspect of this thread.

My reasons for nominating Leif Roar is:

An articulate individual who has always supported the RP community in CoH. In the early days of the community he successfully helped diffuse a full scale war of words between two RP SG's.... and he's a nice guy!

FFM as you're rightly know I have not once indicated that anyone is in charge of anything else. What I clearly said is that publicly identfied mods should attempt to avoid bringing the community into disrepute. I'm sorry but the GGOOC is a community resource directly linked to the GG meets. For the outside world crossover between the two is inevitable.

I'd also point out that my comment rather influencing nominations, ties into your much earlier post directly after Brighteyes nomination.

Whether I have an interest or not in accepting my nomination, the fact you specifically commented (in my view) negatively is the reason why I am concerned regarding your stance regarding this process, and myself.

If others feel am I interpreting your actions incorrectly, then I will of course apologise, as this has always been my nature.

Those who know me, are aware that I will defend and promote the GG philosphy and community to the hilt.

To clarify:

1) I'm not sure anywhere where I've personally indicated my intentions of serving.

2) Ringmaster, Brighteyes and Captain Cliche nominated myself. I nominated Red Commissar and Leif Roar

3) ShadowGhost did offer me the position upon my return, which I declined. However, since then I've started to roleplay significantly more than envisaged due to the diverse and interesting nature of the RP on offer. I was concerned that I would find it difficult due to the abscence of core players who formed GG. This has not been the case at all.

4) This thread called for nominations, and yet one of the organisers of the thread felt fit to specifically comment on my nomination. No other player has had the disrespect to try to influence against someone being nominated. What was a positive thread by this one action has become negative?

5) You seem to have a bee in your bonnet about my return, a shame, but it's a bit like GGOOC rules.... TOUGH!

You do seem to be getting hot under the collar by my suggestion FFM, I feel there is something more behind this, but I guess only time will tell.

It is a shame that you were unable to sit back and reflect upon my suggestion rather than dismissing it straight away.

Again I can only reiterate that it was a suggestion which I feel is best for the overall community as a whole.

But I don't wish to pollute this thread, which is for an important purpose. All I can say that whether I'm elected or not I will leave it up to the conscience of those elected to do what is right for the community and to portray us in a positive light.

Hmmm where to begin.

1.) Personally I feel that should someone ask for public nominations, it is not ethical for those running the election to comment on specific nominations. It does not instill confidence in a fair procedure...

2.) As someone whose been a moderator within various channels and on various boards over the years, I have to disagree.

The forum community can now see who are the moderators of the GGOOC channel, as it has been posted on this forum. Therefore it is inevitable that those appointed will be considered by the board to be representative of the GG community. Therefore it is imperative that they undertake to act as ambassadors for the community etc.

I'm frankly disappointed once again by your responses FFM to people's posts. As someone who considers themselves core to the RP community, you certainly do very well at trying to create divides which those who dismiss roleplaying and the meetings at GG will undoubtedly will be enjoying immensly.

My nominations are:

Red Commissar - from what I've seen someone who firmly upholds the GG ethos, and from what I've seen is the keystone of the current meets.
Leif Roar - my old mucker, is as far as I can tell one of onyl four of the originals left. (For trivia, the others are Brighteyes, Max, and myself)

I would personally like a greater importance added to the role of moderator of the GGOOC channel in that a moderator's conduct on the boards should be taken into account as well.

A vital part of the role should be the inclusion of new players, and not misrepresenting the community on the boards.

Be nice to do one again after being in the core planning team for the first successful raid in Europe

Great team and great fun. Only teamed with Light Petting before and it was nice to team with some new people who knew what they were doing and made the whole experience very nice and smooth.
