Thursday Rikti Mothership Raids

Sorry I couldn't make it, Cherry. Had to go to dinner with the folks.

Grats on the successful raid though.

Just a reminder that:

1. There will be two back-to-back Rikti mothership raids this Thursday, because

2. there will be no Rikti mothership raids next week nor the following week, due to the holidays.

In the spirit of holiday giving, there will be a Christmas bonus at the first Rikti mothership raid this Thursday. 200 million infamy or influence will be awarded to whoever gets the kill shot on U'Kon Gr'ai! (Infamy or influence depending on faction.)

I believe I'll be finished with finals by Thursday, so expect me there.

I should be there as well yelling at any Magus I see how much of a Pansy they are like last time.

On the one hand, a double Raid sounds fantastic because my new firetraps corr needs merits, on the other this starts at 2:30am my time and I've gotta be up at 5 to go to work >.>

I could of course go to bed really early and wake up at 2, I suppose. Haha

Twas the night...

Twas the last raid before Christmas
And all through the shard
every player was lagging
and boy, they lagged hard.

The Rikti were out with Cannons and Ships.
In hopes that the heroes would all take a hint.
When what from the pylons, there arose such a sound.
That before Hro-dotz blinked, the shields were down.

Then what to thier alien eyes did apear,
but dozens of heroes rising through the air.
They cursed and they muttered, they warbled and cried.
They shouted and squealed and hid back inside.

The heroes they landed, bomb fuses soon lit
Hoping to blow the huge spaceship to bits.
And magus emerged to stop all the fun,
but found tankers taunting and blasters with guns.

And after half-hour, maybe a bit more.
The last rikti body fell limp to the floor.
All the villians and heroes rose up with a cheer,
saying "This is our planet! Don't come back till next year!"

Sucks that I missed this, my CPU started overheating massively so I had to replace the thermal compound. Unfortunately I was out and had to find a local store that sold something besides the cheap stuff that lasts all of two weeks. Then I couldn't find my anti-static wristband, so I gave up and went to a friends house. Just wasn't my day.

I ran the 1st raid with my old Villian static team toon. I crashed at the end with the sound loop and by the time I got back in the right zone it was over. I was having to do some work last night so I ran a couple of missions with friends before I had to run.

Thanks to everyone that came out for two rocking Rikti mothership raids last night, and congratulations to Mr. Skullbot for getting the kill shot on U'kon Gr'ai during the first raid and winning 200 million infamy!

Leading the Rikti mothership raids has been a lot of fun for me these past several months, and I look forward to leading more in the new year!

That was pure win, Ashcraft. Thanks to Angie reading it over Vent, as I was a tad too busy to read it. :P

It was purely spur of the moment. Got the idea just as I zoned in on Not A Rikti Spy. Glad you all got a giggle out of it.

OK Yeah that was effin awesome. I was glad to read it to you fine folks. Thanks for providing an epic poem for the event Ash, thanks to CL for a grand time, and grats to the winner of the 200 mil Kill Shot.

If they've fixed the RWZ by then. Right now, people can't enter.

I did a bit of reading. Apparently, maintenance this morning borked the Rikti War Zone on Champion, and Cap au Diable on Pinnacle. People can not enter the respective zone, and any toons parked in the respective zone can't be accessed. Lovely.

Hopefully, NCSoft will take both servers offline and fix 'em before the mothership raid tonight. :\ If not, I won't be able to play most of my characters, as I usually park 'em in the War Zone, lol.

As of 12:58pm Central Standard Time the War Zone is up and running again. Woot.
