If it bothers you, just start up your own subplot/rumours about a randy shapechanger who pretends to be Captain Mako in order to sleep with gullible young villains.

I think I just figured out what my Broadsword stalker's character concept will be once i16 hits.

I seriously can't wait to see this. Seriously.

I don't see any signs of being "too sensitive" in this thread.

I'm going on the basis of this and other 'roleplaying' whine posts Psi has had. It usually has something to do with a sexual connotation or something in that vein.

Psi, It is said ad-nauseum, but people pay to play however they want. It's their money. If you don't like how others are roleplaying, gee here's a thought, WALK AWAY?

There were two female twi'lek jedi apprentices making doe-eyes at each other in the D last night. I couldn't believe it.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

AE mission creation = any NPC/toon doing whatever the RP'er wants them to do. So, that said, it became alright to RP other people's characters(NPC's and the like) the moment I14 went live.

Just my $.02

And AE is a "simulator" intended to avoid any such "C'mon, my bestest bud Recluse is gonna help us beat up some ebil Raver kids!" canon-y issues.

Tales of Judgment. Also here, instead of that other place.

Here is another angle to consider....

Maybe they were RPing that they were lying? Maybe that was the point....that the claim was so outlandish that it was not to be believed.

Sometimes we are so poised to believe that the other person is screwing up or doing something that they are not supposed to that we do not consider all the possibilities.

One of my toons Doc Sahara is prone to doing stuff like that. He is patterned after those "most interesting man in the world" beer commercials. He will walk up and say "Well, Maiden Glory, I haven't seen you since that nasty business down in Argentina"

Some people will say "Uh, I don't know you, what are you talking about?"

But some people will get the joke and play along.

Now somebody might say that I am trying a version of godmodding there and get mad.

Some people just take it and run with it.

So you never know what the other person is trying to do with their RP unless you....wait for it....RP with them.

Maybe this is way off as far as your situaiton is concered, but it is something to watch out for.

Also, its worth remembering that a person's personal or sexual proclivities or activities may never come up in any given RP.

I'm reminded of a time when somebody I knew wrote a story in their VirtueVerse page involving my character. Saying that I had shown up to save them while they were facing their nemesis. Now, this is basically godmoding...I didn't do anything of the sort, nor did I know he had such a storyline going. But at the same time, it was something that my character would have done, and given the scenario it made sense that it would have been me (Tech-based, involved a bio-tech virus, perfect fit for my bio-tech android).

So it really depends on the situation, I guess. I knew this person, and was flattered to have him write me into his story. I ended up editing my own VV page to include it.

I think that MA has a part to play in this. The Devs are no doubt curious what we'll do with their characters. The simulation aspect keeps the canon intact, while giving us the freedom to do whatever we want with the NPCs.

The off-beat space pirate...Capt. Stormrider (50+3 Elec/Storm Science Corruptor)
The mysterious Djinn...Emerald Dervish (50+1 DB/DA Magic Stalker)
The psychotic inventor...Dollmaster (50 Bot/FF Tech Mastermind)

Virtue Forever.

Just a minor point that has already been made, but I wanted to clarify and point out.

At least to me, it seems the players in question weren't playing someone elses character and godmodding them, they were playing their own character and making unsupported claims about someone elses character. If they were throwing in lots of (/em Mako leans in with a leer, bits of freakshow carrion between the glistening jagged rows of teeth as he whispers hotly "Give me some tongue sugarlips" ) then I could see there being a real issue (aside from the need for immediate psychiatric counseling) but just saying they're dating is really no worse than when Lady Occam mentions how terrible Ghost Widows secret triple fudge brownie recipie is (And really, never swap recipies with a ghost)

Haha, that Mako bit is almost unsafe for work!

Now, I get what you're saying, BreakneckBecky.
However, if that's really the case...

How many guys here are okay if their wife and I trade recipes?

Now...
How many guys here are okay if...

I get what you're saying, but there is a difference in importance of those given examples.
