Nothing saids its your spot like an ourob. Portal dropped on the ground.
I have this horrible problem, I cannot stop buying stuff, I am constantly seeing deals and saying "Hey I might need that in the future, let me buy it now while it's cheap." So I've reached 2 billion once and never got there again lol.

I've been rich, and I've been poor. Rich is definitely better.
Light is faster than sound - that's why some people look smart until they speak.
For every seller who leaves the market dirty stinkin' rich,
there's a buyer who leaves the market dirty stinkin' IOed. - Obitus.
Well, it's been a while since I hit this benchmark. Since I achieved it, I purpled out my Dark/Dark Corr, which was pretty darn expensive when I did it - it cost me about 1B inf. However, I made some profit along the way and ended up with about 1.5B on her.
Of course, I had two other characters listed who were tantalizingly close to 2B, and I just couldn't resist getting them to the mark too. So here's my first simultaneous Inf Capping. My Stone/Fire Brute and Nightwidow. As you can see, my Widow's not technically capped yet - but the results of claiming that LotG sale will require a tad of inf juggling if I don't want to drop a few million off. The Brute's last sale was far more modest - a 5M crafted Doctored Wounds that was only about 1M over the cap. (Yes, I saved it.)
The Widow is actually mostly purpled, shy just one set I still want. The Brute is going to get a pretty complete overhaul. I plan to wait a while on both, until I16 gets a chance to settle in, on the gamble that purple prices may actually fall some.
By the way, it turns out I mean "simultaneous" a bit more literally than might be usual. The two characters are on separate accounts.
(If your looking for the inf counters, they're hyperlinked above. The picture below is just a smaller image to show the two characters online together.)

Well, I'm clearly a sucker for this sort of thing. Despite claims in the original post that I had no intention of doing this on all the characters, I did it on all of them. I have now reached the inf cap on my Stalker.
Big screen shot here.
I really am done with this inf capping things on my villains. The ways I'm making my money, I prefer to do it playing level 50s. All my level 50 villains are now either already purpled out or inf capped (or both!)
Now to level up some lowbies and maybe inf cap some heroes.

So, while the villain market still is high-priced compared to the hero one in my experience, things have been on the uptick in terms of market volume pretty much since the AE explosion. That's an interesting combination - higher prices at higher volume means you can make a lot of money faster. Of course that's not necessarily more useful practically speaking. If you actually buy market goods then you also pay more for them.
However, it did let me reach a nice if gratuitous goal. In case you are wondering what I want you to look at on that screen, check the last stat in my attribute monitor, middle upper right. Yes, that's 2B inf, AKA the inf cap.
I've made some nice progress on other characters too, though I have no intention of driving for the cap on them all.
These are the other villains with wealth of particular note.
Night Widow: 1.6B
DM/FA Brute: 1.4B
MA/Regen Stalker: 1.1B
Ice/Dark Corr: 880M
As I've described in the past, none of this has been obtained by classic "marketeering". Only the rarest of flipping, no painting of sale histories or anything like that. I primarily sell drops, including ticket and merit rolls/purchases. There is some farming in there, mostly on the Widow. The keen-eyed reader would notice my mission selection, but my DDC isn't my favorite choice for that particular set of foes. (Fear protection and +toHit and all that.)
For the potentially curious, the character pictured is a Dark/Dark Corr.
