A pondering...

So, whilst feeling the effects of a sinus infection, a thought enters my head somehow..A phrase..

'Sins of the father...'

I ask, are the sins of the father burdened upon the son? Is the son held guilty for actions/deeds of his father from years past when the child was not even born or in his 'innocent' years?

WHat are your thoughts on this?

My first thought it they gave you some good medicine for that sinus infection PogoPogo.

And no, you are your own person you should be given a chance on your own merits.

I'd say that it depends entirely on the father. There have been plenty of incidents of a parent trying to live through their offspring, especially sons, The sad truth is, no matter how well a person may do, they still cringe and bow to the idea of a parent's affection.

Well, if the father has a bad reputation, the son will suffer a little bit on trying to make first impressions.
Imagine meeting a guy named Bob Stalin, especially if he resembles Josef.
I saw a thing on the History channel about Adolf H's family. They allowed to family name to die out and went into hiding, despite not having a role in thier famous relative's activities.

Ever had a boss that was really bad and then met his son? Didn't like him much, at first? Made assumptions that a jerk would raise his kid to be just like him, a jerk?

You can look at today's society where some are held accountable and asked to feel guilty over the actions of others who lived over a hundred years ago and we are led to believe that no matter what measures we take legally or otherwise those stains will never be washed away, and wonder this?

I ate a donut today, and whilst I did so, pondered the mysteries of the universe.

I now know how to cure the common cold, and who really shot JFK.

No, not telling.

i wish one, and only one thing for this world.....that life had background music, everyone would be happier.

The sins of the father are not the sins of the son. No child should be held accountable for their father's actions. I know it's hard to look at a person and not say "Hmmn, bet the apple didn't fall far from the tree." but that ain't always the case.

I think so Brain, but why would anyone want to pierce, Brosnan?

As I was going up the stair
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today.
I wish, I wish, he'd stay away.
