DCing starting to make game unplayable *DELETED*
DarkGob, if I may make a couple of suggestions that have kept me pretty much trouble free, I'd be so happy if they help you. (I have an older HP desktop ,AGP, Windows XP.)
Here's what I do on a consistant basis.
1. Before I play, I use the disk cleanup to get rid of temp files, recycle bin, etc.
2. CCleaner is one of my best friends...I use that too, before I play.
CCleaner
3. I made a shortcut for the ipconfig /flushdns command and use that.
4. Right after a patch/maintenance I use Defraggler. (It defrags your puter like lightening.) You can actually see what files are messed up, and I was shocked at how many were CoH files!!
Defraggler
5. I turn off my anti-virus program ONLY when I am playing..it goes right back on after I exit the game. (I noticed that the lag durring the Rikti/Zombie raids is WAY less than when I was running it.)
I haven't DCd for a REALLY long time since I started doing this. Last time was quite a few months back when trying to enter a friend's base.
I know this sounds like a lot of stuff to do, but it gets done in a flash and has kept my game running like a top. If any one of my suggestions can help, I will be very happy. Hang in there, and don't give up! Good luck

Also depending on the version of windows that you're running defraggler may not work. If that happens look into Smart Defrag.
I have vista 64 and Defraggler ran for nearly 16 hours on a fresh install with NO progress... then a little research: it doesn't work on 64 bit OS.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Big Answer: All servers*
Bigger Answer: All zones**
Biggest Answer: Anything***
*Pinnacle, Triumph, Justice at least.
**Cap, Nerva, Grandville, Port Oakes, inside any mission**1/2
**1/2 Okay, I haven't tested every mission, I am reaching a conclusion based on the available data.
***I know where you're going with this. It happens inside missions, thus it's unrelated to Rikti invasions.

Long play sessions Friday and Saturday, all on Justice. As if I'd play anywhere else. Pffft.
Missions or Invasion fights in the zones made no difference. I disconnected once Friday during an Invasion in Atlas. Once in a mission Saturday, but that was due to losing Internet completely for about 2 and a half hours.
Considering my ISP connection is a wireless connection with a big tree in my backyard that likes to wave branches between my antenna and the antenna in town during any breeze, it seems like a fairly stable weekend to me.
YMMV
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
heh...maybe it was just how the MA mish was designed, but I crashed like 3-4 times in one today, since then playing everything else, haven't had a lick of trouble.
