Make mastermind upgrade powers passive.
So what exactly would be the downside for having minions die in combat?

"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
Um, yeah... I think no. They already fixed it so the upgrades only need to be applied once and affect all minions. Now you want it to be automatic and not cost any end? Masterminds already have little enough to do (They don't have to take attacks at all, they can depend on their pets for that, they can stack up all the Leadership buffs without gimping a build, they don't even require Stamina like many AT/Builds do and they don't even have to micro manage their pets thanks to Bodyguard mode). They don't need help in that arena.
No.
There may be times I don't *want* a specific tier of pets to have a certain upgrade. I don't want that control taken away from me.
Masterminds can already have... well, zero END issues. Having run several - upgrading pets is not an issue, and at least makes me feel like I have a bit more to do than sit back and watch the game. Plus, frankly, if you DO have to watch your END (see upcoming Thermal shields/buffs/etc,) you may be less inclined to just throw minions away.
I don't even need to explain how game breaking this would be.
It seems, even with the newest batch of buffs, that some people can't be pleased.

Masterminds ARE underpowered. I've heard horror stories of Bots/Traps MMs NOT being able to solo AVs! While soloing a mission against Malta on Relentless a few weeks ago one of my pets got killed!
Buff MMs!
Someone said this today when I was playing the game and I thought it was a great idea. Do we really need to have upgrade powers as a click, its annoying tedious and drains too much end. I think they should make both upgrades into passive powers that all pets get as soon as they are summoned if you have the power.
