I'm actually thinking about making a Claws/Dark. Already have an SR brute and I don't like doubling powersets within ATs.
Claws/Fire will probably be pretty sick too.

I've long hated FA, but not too long ago I accepted that much of my hatred comes from the fact that I paired it with EM, which offers little in the way of mitigation.
claws/fa would have massive mitigation from focus/shockwave.
Gettin hurt too much? Jump back, shockwave the spawn, healing flames, jump over the spawn, drop burn, jump back over, shockwave again knocking the punks into the burn patch.
Nasty. Exciting. I wouldn't do it, but I see the draw.
I've already got the claws/sr and claws/inv scrappers. More than likely, I'll be going claws/wp on the brute.

Outside of /sr, /dark would be my next pick. If I could find room and time to level a Claws/dark, I would.

Oh, I'm not saying that Claws/SR wouln't be awesome on a brute, just that I already have a DM/SR brute and I don't like doubling powersets in an AT. The only exception to that is the two fire blasters I have, and one of them is on the delete bubble if I come up with a concept I really like.

You know, Claws/SR sounds tempting. I've never really played SR in any capacity, so this might be the time to try it. These are my other brutes and I don't like repeating sets if I can help it: EM/Elec, DB/DA, DM/FA.

I've been playing a Claw/Fire Scrapper and with Fury added in there, I'm drooling at the thought of a Claw/Fire Brute. Follow Up + Fury + Blazing Aura = me w/ new pants.

Sure, the devs are supposed to listen to their customers, mister business 101 out there. And if I decide to start suggesting that the devs change the game from being about superheroes and supervillains to being about clowns that is my right as well, and technically Paragon Studios is supposed to pay attention to me. But I hope strongly that they assume a meth-head somehow managed to hack into my forum account and make paper airplanes out of my posts, because I hope they recognize stupid when they see it. I assume they will recognize futile just as accurately.

Burn isn't really anything to write home to momma about anymore. That power has been nerfed down quite a lot since the glory days...
had a katana/fire armor scrapper. Was an offensive beast, but Fire Armor is weak like a wet paper sack armor and I had to hide behind a real Tank. Could keep things knocked in the Burn through the duration if I didn't goof up my soaring dragon/golden dragonfly knock attacks, but it was kinda meh. Shockwave I seriously doubt will keep multiple things in a burnstack very well, but shock and focus would be good to keep a boss stuck in the burn. Been debating deleting that scrapper, actually, it's just been collecting dust and day jobs...never even got it to 50 since groups used to evaporate due to everybody wanting to pay for the privilege of getting farmed on BM runs once you got to PI.
And keep CABs for blazing aura. Running that offensive gobbles power.
