Ebil Consensus: what to roll on with AE tickets?

I can't seem to nail down the prevailing opinion, for my Search Fu is weak. What does the esteemed ebil community consider the most profitable AE roll?

Salvage ain't gonna cut it - tried it myself.

I don't need anything for me, I'm only looking to sell.

In my own experience Bronze rolls produced a few decent recipes for crafting. Should I stick with Bronze?

Been doing 40-44 gold with the occasionally 35-39 bronze or silver.

when I was doing it I rolled all bronze and deleted everything that wasn't really good- the payoff seemed worth it to me.

I guess it depends on how many tickets you rack up. If you're drowning in them, roll gold just to keep things manageable.

The Goat speaks the truth ... I did this last night and got some great recipes. I would suggest rolling 40-45 bronze all day long. Take them to WW and delete the worthless ones. Go back to roll more. Keep repeating until you've filled up on the ones you like. Craft and sell.

If you do this long enough you'll start to really know which bronze rolls you can delete right at the AE vendor. That's when the time commitment really drops.

Some players say they have soooo many tickets that they don't have the time to deal with all the chaff that comes with bronze. I think they are being a drama queen but that might just be me ticked off at rolling a gold and still getting junk. Hell, Stillhart was telling me he rolled 10 golds in a row (or something) and didn't really get anything good at all. Don't be that guy (lol)

I can see where bronze would be a pain if you had to look everything up.

But when you delete everything worth less that a million or so and price the valuable ones to move, you can stay on top of things pretty easily.

It also depends on what side you're on. You can a significant number of uncommons Villainside for 3-5M. Given that you get 53 bronze rolls for one gold, you need to be rocking the profit on the gold rolls to make up that you could probably average 2M per item after costs.

I tend to play the market with my villains more these days, so I'm not sure if it works out that well at WW.

The kicker is dealing with it all. At times I roll gold just because I can't be bothered with processing 53 recipies and crafting the 30-odd good ones.

Twilit Destiny: 43 MA/DA
Red

I agree but I also consider crafting then selling (AKA crapping) as fun. You could also just sell the recipe instead of crafting it to save time.

Mostly I roll bronze, hoping for steadfast res/defs. I have a pretty healthy stash of them at this point.

When I roll gold rolls, I do it more more to provide a service than to make inf. (I roll them only on 30-35ish characters since that range of C/D recipes is pretty hard to find redside.)

Also, I sometimes roll for salvage when supplies on things are thinning to the point that the arbitrage gap is 10x-20x.

And for a while things were cold,
They were scared down in their holes
The forest that once was green
Was colored black by those killing machines

Most of my rolls are in the 30-34 bronze. Been good to me so far, lots of kb protections, kismet +acc and steadfast uniques.

Before tickets were nerfed I had decent luck on gold rolls lvl 40-44, some at 50 with a handful of numina uniques.

Spines/ D A lvl 50 Scrap, stone/wm lvl 50 tank, Kat/reg lvl 50 Scrap
Grav/Kin lvl 50 Cont, Fire/Enegry lvl 50 Blast
Warshade lvl 50, PB lvl 39, nightwidow lvl 50, crab lvl 42
plant/thorns lvl 50 dom, ice/fire lvl 40 dom, grav/nrg lvl 41 dom

It's true. My luck in general is horrible so I tend to go for quantity over quality. I rolled some 2k tickets worth of bronze 40-44 last night. Haven't yet crafted and sold the good stuff, but I definitely made more money on 2k tickets than I did on 10 gold rolls (35k tickets) full of bad luck.

Is there something you can get with a 40-44 bronze roll you can't get (worth value) than with a 30-34 bronze roll?

Seems like you are shutting out many uniques at 40-44 that you can get at 30-34? What am I missing here?

I say, why roll for levels below 50?

You're missing what I'm shutting out that I don't want, namely a TON of worthless garbage that ends at 30.

EDIT - To clarify, out of all the recipes that end at 30, how many are worthless and how many are good? Now imagine what it does to your odds of getting something good when you take out that much worthless stuff, even if you also take out one or two good ones. Your odds are still much better overall. Without knowing the exact weighting of recipe drops, it's impossible to PROVE, but it makes sense and it has worked out well for me in practice.

We've been over this twice in the last week. Flip back a page or two.

Don't mind him. Personally I think it is a good question that I constantly ask myself as well.

I roll the 40-45 class because you can then get this:
Miracle +Recovery

http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Bronze_Roll
http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Gold_Roll

If you look over these two guides you can see what else is added in. There are a few really good ones added in like the Miracle +Recovery. If you get one of the ones that are only available to lvl 40 then the IO will be lvl 40. If you are lvl 50 and roll an IO that is available all the way to 50, then it too will be a 50.

Basically it adds some good extra money options. I think most people are only rolling the lvl 50 rolls so a Niche is created ...

You're welcome. Glad I could help.

As a side note I still vary between rolling lvl 40-45 and lvl 46-50s. Mostly it has to do with the amount of lvl 40 salvage I have to buy since I have racks and racks of lvl 41-50 salvage back in my base...
