Ice/Cold PvP-centric build

Go nuts, as per the title.

I zone a lot, and I do the Arena (newly created and thriving Pinnacle League, as an example).

So, something that'd let me play out my full potential in those two settings. Something that fits in Phase, if at all possible (lolphase, etc etc).

That's it, and thanks in advance.

Sadly my first suggestion is reroll with a better pvp primary

No toon of mine got hit harder by i13 than my ice/cold. Ice blast is pretty much the worst of it thanks to the dpa changes. And the stacked slows got gutted pretty bad as well. You can still pretty much kill a squishies recharge but it will still take a while to whittle them down. You can still get the same slows from just /cold and add a lot more offense with son/ rad/ or fire/ for a primary.

Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.

This, 1000%. I didn't dig out my Ice/Cold much before the I13 changes but I've had nothing but frustration with it after I13. The damage is bad and the slows are worthless. Might wanna give Sonic/Cold a go, unless you've already got this Ice/Cold leveled and accoladed.

+1

My ice/cold used to be my preferred dueling toon - now it's reduced to hunting badgers or solo toons doing missile runs in WB. Sad.

I'm still trying to find a new corr combo I like as much, though.

Me too

I have a Rad/Cold too...but I haven't proc'd him or IO'd him out yet...so he's still pretty "meh" to me right now.

My Dark/Cold is in the same boat.

I think I'm actually going to roll with Rad/Dark as my next pvp toon though...tbh. I'm running out of decent Corruptor ideas, as Corruptors (in my mind) haven't been all that hawt in pvp as of late

Really? I'd put Corruptors only behind Blasters and Dominators in terms of PvP ability.

Yea, if you're talking Elec/Therm...

Anything short of that, I'd even put them behind Tankers tbh. They provide very little, both buff-wise (thanks to DR) and survivability/damage-wise.

I'd definately rank them above SoA's at least though.

humm i have an ice ice corr that i am very much in love with i find the damage and the slows rewarding. as well as debuffin the crap out of avs and stuff.

Guess reading is optional on these boards. I don't like fighting AV's when I PvP.

Since you didn't make it yet...I'd go rad/cold or sonic/cold or even dark/cold before going ice/cold.

They've reduced the effectness of -movement powers and since /cold does all the -rech you really need a better secondary effect that isn't redundant would be more efficient. -Def + Procs or -ToHit, Soft Control, and a self heal in dark, or rooting DoT goodness that is sonic.

Pick your poison. Hopefully ice isn't a must.

EB/Cold is also an option for pure pvp. About the same pvp ST damage as the others while adding the KB debuff to the mix. Which can be stacked quicky via power push.

Problem with Energy is its low-ish damage compared to other sets, while offering no real secondary effect aside from knockback, which most people will have protection against. Power Push's high mag is the exception but it turns Energy Blast into a one-trick pony (setting up damage spikes) rather than a really viable PvP set.
