Couple of questions on my ill/rad power selection.

I have a few questions regarding epics, slotting, and IO's. My ill/rad controller is now a lvl 41, and I am trying to decide between epic pools. Right now I am using fly as my travel power, and am looking for some suggestions on an epic set.

Also, I am thinking about taking super speed over superior invis or group invis, and adding a +STEALTH IO in it. Is there any difference between Superior invis and Super speed +stealth IO?

Last question, instead of group invis, I am looking into grant invis from the concealment pool. It has higher defense buff (than group invis), recharges in a fraction of the time, and I can pick who gets it (no more upset tankers and "ok gather everyone"). If I put a LotG +recharge in this power (grant invis) does it still increase my recharge ALL of the time? or only when I cast grant invis?

[/ QUOTE ]Psi is always nice for the mez protection in Indomitable Will, but the drawback is it doesn't give you a different damage type, so fighting enemies with high psi resistance can be relatively slow going.

[/ QUOTE ]There are small differences (no defense bonus in Super Speed, and the stealth of Superior Invisibility doesn't suppress in combat), but there is very little effective difference.

[/ QUOTE ]The global recharge bonus is always on, unless you exemp more than three levels below the level of the enhancement (i.e. to a level you wouldn't have been able to slot it). This is true even if you exemp down to a level where the power the LOTG is slotted in is not available. For example, if you take Grant Invisibility at level 49 and slot a level 30 LOTG in it, you will still get the bonus if you exemp down to level 35, but not if you exemp to level 25.

Psi is a great Epic pool, but it is also somewhat situational. If you mostly do PvE, then your pets will absorb a vast majority of attacks, and your own defense isn't quite as important.

Since there's a dual build option now, I would suggest getting a Fire epic for your everyday build and a Psi epic for PvP/Psi-heavy opposition, such as Rikti. In terms of offense, Fire is noticeably superior to Psi, and it gives you damage type diversity - your other attacks are Psi already, and without a different damage type you may suffer somewhat against robots and Nemesis.

Don't bother with Stealth IOs and Concealment pool. Your own Invis powers are a lot better (at least because they don't make you waste a pool pick). Fly is a better travel power for you too - you'll want to hover and blast from above while your pets fight below.

Your Invisibility powers should be used to mule LOTG +7.5%. Yes, they work even if the power isn't on.

I actually use /Ice as my epic pool for everyday stuff. Gives me two AE attacks for killing groups of mobs at once, as well as a single-target blast. I have next to nothing for resists/defense outside of hover, superior invis, and a couple minor +resist set bonuses. Not to mention that the two AE attacks allow me to get some nice set bonuses out of them (Posi's Blast sets).

Did you have a look at Local Man' Ill/Rad Guide? It's on the first page and will really answer most of your questions, regarding slotting and IOs.

Superior Invis, is as the name says superior. It won't supress and you will notice that when attacking with Phantom Army. You will rarely get aggro, because you will be hidden all the time. Doesn't matter what you do.

LotG will alway increase your global recharge, regardless in which power you slot it.

1. I really enjoy /stone as my epic and i only take the footstomp-ish power along with seismic smash. Both are proc-able and seismic smash benefits from containment bonuses - nothing says "hi there" like uber single target dam.

2. Superior Invis is a keeper. As Razia states above - its always on.

3. Largely depends on what direction your build is taking, imo. I was going for perma-PA and hasten so anywhere I can put an extra lotg +rech/def was a winner for me.
