Midnight Club in CoV

Why do us baddies only get one third of the Midnight club access compared to the boyscouts over on the blue side

Because you have fewer zones with a university? Because you have fewer zones and the 1 door to Midnighter's Club for villains is in a zone that acts as a hub?

Because devs hate villains? Because villains complain too much? Because the devs are out to get you? Because what's the point?

I honestly couldn't tell ya.

Mercy connects to Cap via the Black Helicopter Line.
Port Oakes connects to Cap via the PO/Cap ferry.
Pocket D connects to Cap.
All other non-hazard zones connect to Cap via the Rogue Isles Ferry.
The Rikti War Zone connects to Cap via the Vanguard base.
Ouroboros connects to Cap.

You cannot get into the Club with two zonings (One to Cap, one to MNC) from six Zones: The PVP zones, Monster Island, and The Abyss. And that might be five because I think one of the PVP zones is off Cap.

Heroes have no single zone that accessible.

Actually Pocket D does not connect to Cap. That is one of the few places that does not connect directly.

And to add to this your base.

It doesn't? Huh. I'm unabl to log in from work, so I was going from memory, but I coulda swore Cap and the D connected.

And of course, the Base is a given, provided you've built a porter and collected the badges for the beacon.

CoV-side, Pocket D connects to Port Oaks near the Mercy ferry, Sharkhead Ilsand near the Monkey Fight Club and St. Martial Island under a powerline near one of the brokers.

Also, if you have the port to mission power and have done the initial contact in Cimirora.

- Call Roman contact, get timed Cim mission (from anywhere (save PvP zones?))
- Use port to mission power to port to Cim
- Cim --> Midnight Club

Works blue side, at least, would assume red side as well.

Also useful to get to RWZ from anywhere, and blue side, useful to get to the Shard from anywhere.

Huh... Interesting question....

If you haven't been keyed to the Midnighter Club can you mish-port cross-zone into Cimerora, skipping the key-quest?

I would wager so. The only gate to Cimerora used to be having access to the Midnight Club. The only access to the Midnight Club used to be said key quest.

I'd think, if your character doesn't have access to Cim, it'd be possible to team with someone who has a Cim mission, port to mission there, run around in the past like the silly rules breaking Chrononaught you are, including getting the 'phone number' of repeatable mission guy, then leave.

Only problem being you are on a 1-2 hour timer for gaining entry to the zone.

Also of note people couldn't use this to just do the ITF, as there'd be no mission to select until the TF starts, and all people need to be in the zone to start.

I wanted to, my parents would never let me, but then they pushed me into the military as soon as I graduated... Go figure.

I'll never understand parents.

Last time I tested it with a friend was through Ouroboros. I started a Daedalus flashback and ported to Cimerora. My friend (who didn't have the badge) then tried to teleport to the contact, which he was able to do. Within 1-2 secs of zoning into Cimerora, however, he was ported back out to Ouroboros.

Haven't tried it recently with the mission teleporter, but I don't see why that would work.

Very interesting, mayhaps the devs were trying to proactively nip all the weird "I can teleport here" bugs. Or they had a suite of test cases from all the various ways one could 'break' the RWZ to work off of.

When the Mission TPer was first introduced, you could use it to TP into Cimerora before you unlocked the Midnight Club. That was soon 'fixed' by auto-bouncing you out of Cimerora if you use the Mission TPer trick and you don't have the MC badge.

For some strange reason, they didn't put the auto-bounce onto the RWZ, so, you can use the Mission TPer to get into the RWZ before level 35. However, you can't join the LGTF because you're too low in level. And you can't get the Vanguard badge which allows one to start getting Vanguard Meritts. So, you really don't get any special benefit by getting into the RWZ 'early'.

However, now, if you try to use the Mission TPer to get into a level locked zone, it simply won't work and you'll be told in the Error Channel that you can't teleport to that map.
