SG Issues

Okay, long story with 2 parts

Firstly, I was here, I quit playing CoH! I went to Italy for about 2 years, up there I plaed World of Warcraft, [censored] the game aint that bad

While there I was 2nd best Europe Arena team, in the 3rd best raiding guilds and just alla round had a blast.

What choice did I have? CoH is not there lol

Anyways here are the two issues.

1) I gave leader ship of my old guild Atlas Heroes to a very....rude and prickish person. Aparently through contact with old SG mates from my website I made for us, one day I get a messed up msg! OMG DUDE! I logged in and the guild has been deleted! WTF!? They guy I gave leadership too for whate ver reason to this day refuses to give! Deleted it.....

Okat thats the first issue, my question on this issues is this.

Is it possible to get it back with its prestige intact? I doubt the hell outta it but cant hurt to ask and be sure.

2) I gave my alt guild (I made Atlas Heroes, Atlas heroes second chapter and so on) the guild he was in control of on one of his many alts was inactive after a short time when I left. He said that one point he deleted his character not realizing that he was leading the SG! So its not been deleted as I still see it in AP when I do a SG search.

But its leadership was passed to someone with no activity, because nothing is going on with that SG!

Question for this problem, again LOL is there anyway to get it back to me? Since I did make it, it was a mistake that the leadership was passed and the persons account who made this mistake is still playing and willing to have it dropped back to him, so it can come back to me!

Is there anything that can be done on either of these issues?

Please help!

1) I suggest searching for the first SG. It's possible your friend just got kicked out of it and assumed it was gone. I don't think there is a message informing you of having been kicked from an SG unless you are actually online at the time.

The only way to truly delete an SG is to kick everyone out and then quit yourself, as soon as an SG has no members it disappears. If that is the case, there is no way to get it back.

2) The only way you can get back in your alt SG is to track down someone who has a character in it to invite you. Obviously someone does, or it wouldn't exist anymore. If you know the globals of the people that were in it when you left, you can try messaging them that you've returned. (Do an offline message, people delete emails without even reading them these days, if you send them one you will likely end up on their global ignore list, even if they didn't mean to)

Other than what I gave you here, there's not a whole lot you can do, GMs generally don't interfere with SGs, so you can't ask them for help.

crap, this is a new account so I have no globals, and back in the day my globals were filled to max with mostly none sg memebrs anyways.

Guess there goes that guild lol

You are better off just starting a new one anyways. It will not take you very long to generate the prestige needed to fully outfit a modest base.

Look at it as a new beginning.

First of all, I'm kinda puzzled why you said there isn't CoH in Europe. There's European servers.

Granted, the Euro population is much smaller than the US-based servers...in part because, for the most part, only European folks play on the Euro servers. The US servers get folks from Australia, Asia, South America, even some Europeans.

But...well, yeah, there's probably nothing you can do to get back your old SGs.

However, there's been some changes to SG management recently - there's a new 'Super-Leader' position and how leadership passes on is a bit different these days. If you do start a new SG, you shouldn't face the same problems in the future...if you learn the new system and do it right.

How is it that people think you can't play CoH from other countries? European servers aside, there are plenty of folks not in the US who play on the US servers....

Your account is never erased or removed. If you can recall the account name and passwords, you can resurrect it and your characters may still have membership in the supergroups in question. Might be worth $20 to find out.

Yeah, I mean - I'm playing from the UK right now. They sell the European version of CoH on the shelves here, but I was already playing the US version of the game when I moved to London. So I didn't switch. I like my server and SG.

Heck, I didn't buy the game in America, either. I'm from Singapore. They sell the US version there. There's a whole bunch of folks in my SG from Asia and Australia.

Most MMOs do have region-specific versions, but there's nothing stopping you from getting an account for another region. Europeans tend to get separate servers from the US (partially for language reasons) - but a lot of British in particular like to play on American servers all the same.

Latin America and the Oceanic region rarely get their own servers, so folks from those parts of the world usually play on US servers too.

I have, though, encountered at least one MMO that DID restrict players to North America only; they could tell I wasn't in the US and didn't let me play. =P

(Suffice to say, they didn't get my money)

Welcome to the wonder of the internet. I could go to the moon and still play on Virtue if I had good enough wireless.

Playing, while being on the moon, might be tough.
Round trip delay would be more than 2 seconds.

The folks who use satellite internet have a not-insignificant round trip, and they manage.

But geosych orbits are about 22,238 miles where the approx. average distance to the moon is 238,856 miles which is about ten times different.

I'm afraid there's no way around the conclusion... we need a moon based CoH server.

As a science fiction fan, I would have abbreviated it FTL but that has another meaning on the interwebz.
