I agree with this 100% and I live in the US! [censored] with the politics.

This is the problem. We are 1 country but divided by 2 piece of crap political parties. If people would stop and think with their minds and hearts instead of picking a side, we wouldnt be in such a mess to begin with. Your post jumping on the opposite faction and calling names is proof of this.

Leave Karl out of this, I heard he caught his Assualt bot humping the washine machine

This is why I consider myself an independent now.. The biggest problem we have is too many people are caught up in this "my team vs. your team" thing, and they are only too willing to overlook the terribly destructive policies of their chosen "saviors".

Shame more folks don't seem to have good critical thinking skills.

Republican or Democrat??
One thing is clear, the USA is at fault . . . end of discussion.

Now lets get back to the game. Not everyone here is interested in American politics.

Can we please not start talking politics and real-world gov't spending here? Please? Please, please, please? No one will change anyone else's mind, and we'll just end up getting Mod-8 smacked.

p.s. The real source of our economic trouble is [this information deleted by BAB, cthulhu, Mod-8, the illuminati, and 7 of the last 13 Presidents].

That's what I was trying to advocate, but you did it in a more magnanimous way. I was just annoyed that I was subjected to a political discussion when all I wanted to do is read about people's opinions of the game.

[/ QUOTE ]

Political discussion ? The debt and deficit numbers are hardly political, they just are. You may assign a political significance to the facts and feel that they conflict with your agenda/ sides agenda whatever, it doesn't matter, if you can't look at the facts apolitically you can't even have an economic discussion.

Now I will note that for someone who didn't want this to be about politics your opening post did more to politicize this thread than anything coming before or after from anyone else. You went with clearly provocative terms that could only be meant to provoke a harsh response.

Your actions conflict with your stated purpose.

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't write:

the crafters will need 699.1 billion more to match the Obama package stimulus package.

[/ QUOTE ]

I thought it was 3.2 trillion.... and that was after there was "no more pork"

oh well

[/ QUOTE ]

As opposed to the 10 trillion the previous president saddled us with.

[/ QUOTE ]

...and since one can't objectively measure the politicization of a topic, we can just argue back and forth ad nauseum or we could talk about, you know, The CoX Market.

I don't think my actions conflicted with my stated purpose at all. There is a little something called using satire to make a point. But then again, maybe Stephen Colbert has been sincere all this time.

Believe what you wish about me or my actions or my intentions. Since you said, "You went with clearly provocative terms that could only be meant to provoke a harsh response" then that MUST be so. It is the LAW. It can only be meant to provoke a harsh response and nothing else. Open-mindedness unwelcome on Another_Fan's watch.

P.S.

I hear Larry Summers and Paul Krugman always agree and never let their politics enter a discussion on economics. It's just objective number-crunching after all.

And in an effort to switch the topic back to the market, I was wondering:

I've had several conversations with some friends in-game about the dramatic increase in IO prices since MA launched. The OP's statement about the amount he or she spent on IOs is staggering. Has there been mention of a limit on the amount one can sell an IO for and how many are in favor of such a limit?

Really I see lots of things way down. Especially non purple upper tier sets.

As to limiting a price that an IO can be sold for good luck on that.

Yeah. I agree. It's generally those purples that are the real killer, though. It's just that I remember when a Hecatomb went for 30-50 million and now they tend to go for 100 mil +. Maybe a limit is out of the question but I'm hoping that in the near future, we could buy purples with reward merits.

I bet Mod-8 is ready to smack this niche up any time now. I'm off to read more enjoyable threads.

I thought we did an ok job settling our differences and getting back to an in-game topic.

Ah well. Can't please everyone.

And thats a key point.

One purple drop per say 5000 mobs, is an additional 20 000 inf per mob, if you play the odds long enough.

Its like Pool C rolls, (and now Gold rolls), they only are really winners in the long run, as you need one or more of the rare valuable drops to get up to par.
