Can we please not start talking politics and real-world gov't spending here? Please? Please, please, please? No one will change anyone else's mind, and we'll just end up getting Mod-8 smacked.
p.s. The real source of our economic trouble is [this information deleted by BAB, cthulhu, Mod-8, the illuminati, and 7 of the last 13 Presidents].

That's what I was trying to advocate, but you did it in a more magnanimous way. I was just annoyed that I was subjected to a political discussion when all
I wanted to do is read about people's opinions of the game.

Political discussion ? The debt and deficit numbers are hardly political, they just are. You may assign a political significance to the facts and feel that they conflict with your agenda/ sides agenda whatever, it doesn't matter, if you can't look at the facts apolitically you can't even have an economic discussion.
Now I will note that for someone who didn't want this to be about politics your opening post did more to politicize this thread than anything coming before or after from anyone else. You went with clearly provocative terms that could only be meant to provoke a harsh response.
Your actions conflict with your stated purpose.

I thought it was 3.2 trillion.... and that was after there was "no more pork"

As opposed to the 10 trillion the previous president saddled us with.

...and since one can't objectively measure the politicization of a topic, we can just argue back and forth ad nauseum or we could talk about, you know, The CoX Market.
I don't think my actions conflicted with my stated purpose at all. There is a little something called using satire to make a point. But then again, maybe Stephen Colbert has been sincere all this time.
Believe what you wish about me or my actions or my intentions. Since you said, "You went with clearly provocative terms that could only be meant to provoke a harsh response" then that MUST be so. It is the LAW. It can only be meant to provoke a harsh response and nothing else. Open-mindedness unwelcome on Another_Fan's watch.
P.S.
I hear Larry Summers and Paul Krugman always agree and never let their politics enter a discussion on economics. It's just objective number-crunching after all.
And in an effort to switch the topic back to the market, I was wondering:
I've had several conversations with some friends in-game about the dramatic increase in IO prices since MA launched. The OP's statement about the amount he or she spent on IOs is staggering. Has there been mention of a limit on the amount one can sell an IO for and how many are in favor of such a limit?
