Claw/Regen build advice
lol
that makes alot of sence.. I find my self usually only using 4 attacks.. Follow up-Eviscerate-Jumping Spin-Focus... this is ugly for any sort of chain... pretty in a full group.... Strike is in there for filler Swipe would be so much better for its faster animation...
I just repec'd into that build with some tweaks.. dropping MoG. Revive, Strike, and Shockwave.. picking up Swipe, Slash, and working towards Weave... Havnt tried it just yet will be later today...
another thing I am sorely disapointed with MoG..... any advice for this power since it works completly different then ive read.. or at least thought I understood it...

dropping MoG.

If you drop MoG, I'm going to kill you. MoG is, by far, the strongest tool in a Regener's arsenal. It gives you a 15 second period of complete and utter untouchability (except against psychic) which is more than long enough to get your feet back under you. Any */regen that doesn't take it is purposefully nerfing themselves.

MoG is a short term, incredibly high survivability power. In general, it's best uses are for soaking alpha strike (re: jump in, then use it or use it shortly before jumping in) or, as I tend to use it, right before I sense the tide of combat getting ready to send a wave of damage my way (re: synced attacks from multiple enemies). Considering what it does and what */regen has available, going without MoG is completely stupid.
I would sooner give up Instant Healing than Moment of Glory.

You... don't like MoG? No likey MoG makes me a sad scrapper.
As far as slotting it, you're after recharge and nothing else, though it can serve as a nice spot for some Luck of the Gamblers if you have the budget.
As far as using it, it is ideal for absorbing a big alpha strike. It will stop cascading defense failure in its tracks. And when badly hurt, it will buy you 15 seconds of breathing room, generally giving you time to recover much to all of your health.
As far as what you've read, perhaps you're reading about old MoG. Old MoG was a more traditional tier 9 with a long duration, but it shut down your regeneration and healing and dropped you to a quarter your hit points, I think. I wouldn't touch old MoG. I loves me some new MoG.

aye I agree that it is an awsome power.. but 15secs of invulnerability is just 15 seconds.. just a power I will have to get use to is all... like when to heal when to pop instant heal..
Ill get there and with a better understanding of the powers.. Still having tons o fun though..
Thanks again..
I use MoG as an Oh Sh!& button. If I'm taking a lot of damage and don't have a heal up, i pop it to buy me a few secinds for my passive regen to heal me a little and hopefully to have Recon come back. I took it at 49 and only have one slot in it (probably getting a LotG when I can afford it)
Note about taking it at 49: I don't exemp with my claws/regen, ever.

Aye I hit 41 yesterday and picked up MoG again.. wow just by adding tough and resiliance my durability has increased quite a bit.. Im able to withstand more punishment between Recon's...
Im toying around a lil bit with trying to add in some more AoE..
Is tenebrous tentacles any good.. I was thinking of 6 slotting it with 3 Damage Procs then 2 Acc/Rech/Imo followed by a Acc/Dam... Guess I could do the same with Caltrops easier to get but I like the Immob... any thoughts?
If you just hit 41 and haven't started Dark Mastery yet you won't be able to 6 slot Tenebrous Tentacles. You would have to take it at 49 since you need 2 other powers from the pool to unlock it. 4 slots is the most you will be able to put in it.
I wouldn't waste the slots on the damage procs to be honest. It's not really meant as a damage power for scrappers, it's more utility.
I like Body Mastery myself. Energy Torrent is awesome for scrappers. Don't pay any attention to the in-game info, it was changed to a knockDOWN power instead of knockback. Plus it deals decent damage and can crit. TT can crit too, but the damage is so low you barely notice it.

aye I was going to drop the Stamina Pool and get Shockwave + the other Dark Wave power... If TT has a knockback hold in its Immob that is... I was going for the damage proc's because TT is a dot more chances for them to proc..
Currently it would have to be either Weave or Target Drone.. I could skip the drone and get FA with Hasten... but personally I don't really like Hasten.. only character I have with it is Shoop mah Kin Defender...
This is my fire/regeneration build and I suffer from builditis lol. Instead of the two miracles in fast healing there is panacea: heal and chance for hp/endurance and in tough there is gladiator's armor: resistance/endurance and + 3% defense.

The only powers I can think of off the top of my head that offer more chances to proc are rain powers, because they make a to-hit check against anything within the radius of the power for each tick.
If TT hits everything affected by it will take the DoT, it has already determined that the power hit. So, since procs check to see if they go off simultaneously with the to-hit check you only get one chance for it to proc.
If someone could clarify that I understand/explained that correctly it would be nice.

aye that makes sence.. you can move out of Ice Storm and take no damage.. but you cant move out of TT even if you resist the Immob....

Actually, the rain powers do still have a target cap (almost always 16). The reason that they'll get an additional proc chance is because they last longer than 10 seconds, which allows them to get a proc attempt on the first tick (.2 seconds after summon) and again 10 seconds later (10.2 seconds after summon). They'll only check twice during the entire duration of the power and only against the targets in the area of effect at that time. So you're mostly wrong but slightly right for the wrong reasons.
Another question that pop in my mind, i understand there is a Max cap on hit points. What might that be for a scrapper??
Since i would think aiming to get close to max wil provide a very good regen. And im wondering how must extra i need with dull pain up.
Because if dull pain + a little bit of +hps from io set can get me to max, then i would rather focus on bonus to defend and less damages from attacks. Ohh and ofcause doing more damages..
Oh and another question, some sets like the numina convalence give at (4) 6%enhancement (heal)
Is that a 6% extra to that power, so it goes from 50%heal to 56% heal enhancement. Or is it 6% heal extra for my totalt regenation wich it alot extra ????
Because i see some that says recharges, and if that gives to all powers then its crazzyyyy..
Some like a few says Damages3%(all) so thats why im wondering about the others..
Hope i make sense and not rambling to must..
Time to claw something up..o)
Oh feel free to chat with me ingame on virtue if you got time for more info.

The max hp for Scrappers is base*1.8 or 1338.6*1.8 or 2409.5. If you slot with the 5 piece doctored wounds, all but heal/end, you'll get 57.6% +maxhp or 771.2 +maxhp. If you've also gotten the 4 passive accolades, you'll have a passive 20% +hp (and a nice little 10% +end), meaning that you're only barely short (re: 31.5). In general, my recommendation is that you not even bother trying to get maxhp set bonuses. If you slot for IOs even a bit, you'll quickly find that you can get the last 2.4% +maxhp rather easily and oftentimes be sitting above cap when you finish.

All of the set bonuses increase the buff value rather than providing an end multiplier. The 6% +heal set bonus from Numina's Convalescence will, functionally, give you 6% more from enhancements that isn't affected by ED. Something to realize though is that Reconstruction, Healing Flames, and any other heal that accepts resistance IOs are all unaffected by buffs and debuffs. This means that, while the set bonus will increase the size of your Dull Pain's heal effect, it won't affect Reconstruction in the least.

The set bonuses like this don't decrease the recharge or increase the damage by a further quantity (damage isn't multiplied by another 3% and recharge isn't reduced by another 5%). They simply give more +recharge or +dam to the power. This means that, if you've got 95% +recharge slotted into the power, dividing the base recharge by 1.95 for the end recharge, with a 5% recharge set bonus, you'd instead be dividing the base recharge of the power by (1.95+.05), or 2. An attack with 95% +dam from slotting would be dealing 1.98 times the base damage, not 1.95*1.03. The set bonuses are treated exactly like buffs applied by an outside party.

been playing around with MoG and tough positions with lots of enemies and wow me likey...
I tell ya Regen is not very Reactive at all its begining to turn into Proactive knowing when your gonna get bombarded to get that heal to hit right at the sweet spot so your not admiring the floor cause you waited to long... so far thats been my biggest learning curve coming from SR on me stalker..
Just wanted to thanks you all again for the advice and help..

Yeah. My biggest point of contention with */regen right now, aside from the lack of any debuff resistance is the fact that the animations take up so much time and that the effects are often delayed, both of which severely hamper the twitch reflexive nature of the play style in active play circumstances. I'd really like to see the devs actually remove the animation times from at least Recon and MoG, making the animations only occur if you're not doing anything else (like with many of the toggle activation animations).
aye I agree so many times Id hit it and then get barraged to be dead with a spent timer...
they could keep the animations but have the effect hit when you click the power instead of after the animation...
Thanks for taking the time to reply, helps alot
I've never had a problem with the animation time on recon, but I have on DP. MoG is pretty much the best power ever. Punch the sky animation + power up noise + 15 seconds of invincibility. On my regens I skip hasten because I haven't needed it, and when I do use it, it makes me feel rushed and not have as much fun stabbing things.
It's smoother. When you use Strike, since it shares an animation with Boxing and Jab, there is a split second pause before your next attack animates. I didn't like that, so I went with Swipe so my attack chain would feel smoother. I actually lose a couple points of DPS by doing it, but I like my attack chain better now so I don't care.
Edit: Umbral's answer gives you the practical reason. I gave you the "I like the way it looks better" reason
