Ok, I don't like playing catch up by reading 50 million posts. So, for those of you who have tested the changes made to Doms which would you bring to 50? I have 4 doms in the lower to mid 30s - plant/thorn, fire/electric, ice/psi, earth/fire. Suggestions and the reasoning behind your choice?

How do you want to play the dominator?Casual teaming, farming, pvp, etc etc?

I'm going to go with Earth/Fire. It already has oodles of control, so slower dom building won't hurt much. The extra dmg will make this combo even scarier.

Plant/thorn won't see much difference I think. Confused mobs will speed things along as always and thorns didn't see that much change imo.

Fire/elec is strong from what i know of the sets separately, but i think earth/fire will be stronger and provide more team utility.

Ice/Psi is a tough build to work with even with the increased dmg as i'm not sold yet on the /psi changes. However, it will depend on how you play it. I can see a nice synergy at range with scream and shiver... perhaps better than the old combo of PSW and AA.


Please buff Ice Control.

Mostly I play with 2 - 3 other friends. Only PvE. And I like to do different SFs.

plant/thorn is fun and effective.


Spines/ D A lvl 50 Scrap, stone/wm lvl 50 tank, Kat/reg lvl 50 Scrap
Grav/Kin lvl 50 Cont, Fire/Enegry lvl 50 Blast
Warshade lvl 50, PB lvl 39, nightwidow lvl 50, crab lvl 42
plant/thorns lvl 50 dom, ice/fire lvl 40 dom, grav/nrg lvl 41 dom

I'll echo previous sentiments - Earth/Fire or Plant/Thorn. Both real solid, and function well in groups (small or otherwise).

The Ice/Psi won't exactly slouch either, though. But out of the four.. cointoss between the previously mentioned pair.

Ice/psi is what I would play, because it is able to handle the end issues the best. I dont like thorns because its just as fugly as spines. Fire/elec seems ok because you can slot an extra pet proc to help the imps. While earth is good I dont like the fire secondary at all.

I like the plant primary but not so sure about thorny assault...it's dam potential. What lvl is yours?
